"I like solitude." Lucien said simply, pulling the car to a halt at the dead end of a road. He sighed, not quite wanting to get out of the vehicle just yet. It'd be a decently long ride there, and he certainly hoped that Vicente had left two horses there for them. He didn't want to have to ride double with Sigma. He snorted, unbuckling his seatbelt.

[Falls]

Sigma got out of the car immediately, very ready to get out of such a confined space with Lucine in it. She stretched her legs with a groan and looked around, shuffling her bare feet on the dirt road a little ways away from the car. "This is it? This is where we start on horseback?" Her voice was reluctant and she hoped that this was just another rest stop.

[dude, they should totally double up on a horse. it would be so hilariously awkward... xD]

Lucien gave a nod as he stepped out of the vehicle, locking it as a precautionary measure. "The horses should be a little ways into the woods." Lucien said with a nod, walking forward, checking behind him to make sure Sigma was coming. It certainly wasn't as if there was anywhere else for her to go.

((OMG, totally gonna do that now. ))

Sigma stood there, feeling a bit stubborn. She wanted to cross her arms and glare and cause Lucien a whole world of grief. But she knew it wasn't worth it. At the end of the day, it seemed, it would always be go with Lucien or go to her grave. She sighed and stepped towards him, shuffling along at a pace just slow enough to tell him just how much she didn't want to be here.

Lucien was silent as they walked through the words, the sticks and twigs snapping like bones beneath his shoes. Finally, he came to the slope where the horses would be. Looking down the hill, he saw-

Oh no.

Only one horse. He silently cursed Vicente as he walked down the hill to his horse, Shadowmere. The black mare flicked her tail, giving a soft whinny as she saw her owner.

[Falls]

Sigma walked up next to Lucien and looked down the hill. She frowned at the sight of the lone horse. "Is there another?" she asked, looking from the horse to Lucien's shoulder (not quite his face) and then back again. Oh god, please let there be another around here...

"There doesn't seem to be." Lucien growled beneath his breath, noting to strangle Vicente for this later. He found enough tack for one horse, and grumbled. He put the saddle and bridle onto Shadowmere, then looked to Sigma. "He only left enough tack for one horse, so I'm assuming the lout only brought one horse."

[Falls]

Sigma followed Lucien to the horse, stopping about two yards away and watching it nervously. "I don't know how to ride a horse," she mumbled, running her fingers through her hair.

Lucien mounted the shining, black mare, patting her neck. "Just come and sit behind me. All you have to do is hold on." Lucien instructed from atop Shadowmere, his dark brown gaze resting on Sigma. Oh, how he was dreading this.

[Falls]

Sigma's bare feet shuffled hesitantly through the dirt, dragging the back hem of her sweatpants along the ground with them. She took a few steps, stopped, and then took the last few to the horse. With a sigh she reached a hand up, silently asking Lucien for help getting up.
