Moonshade felt him grip her scruff and she was grateful for his kindness. The dark tabby winced as she moved though, for it really hurt to be moving the way she was being carried, but not one complaint came out of her mouth. She stayed silent, except for her trying to breath slower and deeper for when Deathrage urged her to keep on breathing. Then she pricked her ears when he spoke again, speaking of that offending smell. Well, it might not be offending to him... But Moonshade was. For rogues always tried to do something horrible to her whenever the two met. "...Rogues," she whispered fearfully, praying to Starclan that they were gone until she noticed the scent was kind of old. She let out a shaky breath of relief. "But they're... ones we knew, Deathrage. They've gone.."

Deathrage looked at her, calming down a little, he didn't like that he couldn't relize it was old. But he was happy Moonshade was making it, he never felt this way towards any other cat, so if she died, or had to retire early, he would personally hunt them down, and kill them. But right now was now, and she was in his jaws, witch were getting tired of the weight in his mouth. But he wasn't letting go of her untill they got to camp. He was greatful when he saw the camp entrance, and picked up his pace. He got to the medicine cat den, and gently layed her down onto a moss bed, "Lay down here, i'll fetch the medicine cat." He said softly, walking deeper into the medicine cat den.

Moonshade let out a sigh when she was laid on a soft, mossy nest. She wasn't really focusing on anything, not now, or when they were in the forest but the sweet and fragrant scents of herbs and berries told her everything. She was in the medicine cat den. She wondered suddenly if the others that were in here the moment before she'd run off to find Sunclaw were alright. She winced when she tried to turn to look back at Deathrage with her huge eyes, and settled back down slowly; her teeth were clenched tightly. "Ok.." she rasped in response and shut her eyes in exhaustion. Then, out of nowhere, her body started trembling. Morningdove had died because of her. Sunclaw could have also been killed but wasn't. Her clan was endangered. She was endangered- again. This is not happening to me again... she begged silently. But it was. Everything was happening.
When Stoneclan had been in the middle of that war, Moonshade had lost everything: her family, her friends, her home. Even her first love. Tigerstripe basically ripped out a chunk of her heart when he stood over her, laughing and saying he didn't love her back. Some part of her had died, gone forever, along with her birth-clan. Now, she felt she might not be able to handle this again. Silver tears started to form at the corners of her dark eyes and she shook harder as she began to cry softly in her fear, anger and grief.

Deathrage looked at her, feeling sympathy. He really liked her, and seeing her in pain was to much. He leaned over and touched her head with his nose, almost saying outloud that he liked her, maybe even love her. But he couldn't tell her that, knowing that she might not even think of him more than another clanmate. But he sat down looking at her, waiting for the medicine cat. He saw such pain in her eyes, and he knew that it was much more than the physical damage done. He looked at her with his one eye. What if she thought of him as a monster? He didn't care, well maybe. "Moonshade.." He paused, he didn't know why the rouges attacked, but now was his chance, "how come those rouges attacked you? Or was it a regular ambush?" I asked softly, meeting her gaze.

|| Deathrage ||

Deathrage was on his way back from a hunting trip, when he smelled freshly spilled cat blood. What? He though, running with the fresh kill in his jaws, he found a small claering were two she-cats lay, one was dead too. {Morningdove and Moonshade} Dropping my kill, he ran over to Moonshade's side. "What happened?" He gasped frightfully. Nudging Moonshade up with his nose, "Can you stand?" He asked worriedly. hoping she was alright, knowing the other one was dead, so many questions filled his head. WHo did this? What happened? Is she alright? Why is Morningdove dead? Is Moonshade going to make it? Were there other warriors invavled? Do we have traitors is our clan? These were only a few of the questions ringing in his head. But he was going to make sure Moonshade would survive.

Moonshade could hardly make out the fuzzy image before her but then she blinked her dark blue eyes a couple of times to clear them. As Deathrage came into focus, she frowned and tried pushing herself up once more for him but her legs gave way and she fell onto her wounded side, whimpering slightly. She coughed and blood trickled down her chin painfully. Her breathing was shaky now, for one of her lungs had been seriously injured. She looked up at the tom hopelessly and shook her head slowly. Then her eyes widened and her hackles rose. "Sun....Sunclaw...is she...did she make..back alright?" she asked worriedly. Her heart pounded hard in fear that the rogues had circled around and came back to finish her off. The injured, slender tabby lay there in pain waiting for an answer desperately.
Her beautifully dark grey pelt with black stripes was ruffled, dirty, and caked with blood from the fight. She had wounds all over, but the worst was the deep clawing and biting at her shoulders and right foreleg, and also the wound the other rogue had inflicted when he sank his fangs into her spine.

(( as moonshade waited for SUnclaw, Deathrage smelled the blood and ran over to her and took her back to camp while Moonshade is still worrying about Sunclaw. Also, Deathrage found out he really likes Moonshade; he just doesn't want to tell her that's basically it. ))
