James didn't recognize her name; she must have been in a different section than he was. He did, however, remember it, linking the syllables. She was a powerful summoner, and though irritating, potentially useful. He'd never met someone useful who wasn't irritating in some way. It seemed to be bundled character traits, as if they were on the same chromosome: annoying and powerful. He wondered what she would think, as confident as she was in her own power at summoning her class-B, if she knew just how many summons he bound and used on a weekly basis. Probably, she'd be unimpressed, 'quality rather than quantity', etc, etc. He fiddled with the ring in his hand as he walked, wearing a mild smile on his face. He looked a bit of a soft idiot, but that was an excellent camouflage. As his previous mentor had told him repeatedly, it's better to look dumb than you are, than to be dumber than you look.

He realized the mistake he'd made when the summons misunderstood his remarks about A-summons. He could feel the teacher listening, like an undertow in a deep pool, sucking their words towards her waiting ears. Well, there was that idea out the window. The gryphon, Mystic, was too proud to let his comments about his intelligence pass unnoticed. If he'd accepted it and refused to speak for the rest of the interview, perhaps the teacher wouldn't have realized his true power.

His irritation quivered under his skin like a bad sunburn, and he lost control of his temper. He cut her sentence off. "I apologize," he snapped, the word dripping with sarcasm. "I had assumed that you hadn't breaking the rules by summoning him, as B-types are not allowed to students of your apparent age and experi-" he stopped as the little girlish summon leaped onto Mystic's back. He drew in a deep breath, and - regaining control over himself - hoped that she hadn't been listening to his snippy response. "... He really is an amazing summon. I don't think I've seen a Gryphon his size... well, ever."

He bowed to Mystic, his hair sweeping forward in a untidy black cloud. "I'm sorry to have insulted your intelligence. I made an incorrect assumption, based on erroneous information. Can you forgive me?" he asked politely, his voice even.

[Ooc: If no one else has something to say, I'll post tomorrow with the teacher, which will be a much longer post.]

Tuxedo Thomas rolled over onto his back, allowing the sunlight to warm the soft white fur on his belly. To anyone passing by, he looked like an ordinary stray or, if they were feeling optimistic, a rather scruffy housecat. Hearing something to his left, the cat swiveled the appropriate ear in order to hear it better. It was too small to be anything worth stalking and eating, but for all the sunlight in the world he was bored half out of his wits. Opening his yellow eyes, the cat flipped himself over and crouched low, eyeing the beetle that was dutifully trundling along the walk. He took a careful step forwards, then another, and a third, all the while keeping his eyes on the insect. Finally he pounced, rolling the beetle underneath him and flinging it up into the air. Seemingly unfazed, the insect fluttered out its wings and flitted away. Thomas huffed out an annoyed breath and flopped back onto his belly. Stalking beetles was too much work. Closing his eyes, the Summon curled his tail up around his front paws and fell back into a light snooze. His Summoner- a man who spent more time on magic than anything else- had called him up in order to help him get a date. He didn't seem to understand that cats don't have have many damns to give for anything other than their own well-being, and for all that he was smart, the man was no good with rules. Thomas had done what he could, then wandered off. There was something wonderful about Human Realm sunlight, the cat had decided. The sun in the Daemon Realm wasn't half as nice. Twitching his whiskers, the cat curled his lips into the feline equivalent of a smile.

"Go get the shopping, he says. It'll be fun, he says." Speaking to himself, Fisk found himself growing angrier by the minute."Does he tell me that I'll need a bag? No!" He lifted his shopping into a large, green, plastic bag and began to lift it up. The damn thing was heavy and the plastic was cutting into his fingers, making his pale skin turn a deep pink. Eventually he got the hang of holding the pathetic excuse for a bag, and was soon on his way back to his home, where his summoner would be waiting for him. "He should proll'y take a trip down ta' school sometime. Otherwise he ain't gonna learn a thin'." Once again, Fisk was speaking to himself, about his summoner. "An' if he doesn't learn anythin', he aint gonna get ta go anywhere. 'Cus he won't know how ta' get there." He continued, explaining his thoughts to himself.

The offices belong to the teachers of the Summoner's School were arranged in two wings on either side of the campus. The lower-forms, for students less than thirteen, were arranged in an arc besides the children's dormitories. It was snickered, on the other side of the campus, that this was because the lower-form teachers were really just glorified babysitters, and accusation that they hotly denied. Nevertheless, James considered, he'd prefer to have been caught by one of the higher-form teachers. Lower-form teachers were notoriously tetchy.

This one was no exception to the rule. She gestured, and one of her sub-a servants threw open the door for them, saluting comedically as she entered. James exchanged a glance with Adriana and her summons, and followed after her. "Um, miss, if I may explain?" he asked, without much hope of being allowed to explain events to her satisfaction.

She ignored him, and sat down at her desk first, pulling out a pen and a stack of crisp ruled paper. "Your names?" she asked, scribbling on the pad furiously.

"James Danovich. My summons are called Ley and Row, both sub-A's. I'm in seventh form," he told her naming the form which contained most of the seventeen to eighteen year olds. He felt the invisible presence of Row as the lemur climbed onto his lap, his claws pricking as he took up a defensive stance directly in James' line of sight. It was unnerving, staring directly through his own summons.

She wrote it down carefully, and pulled up files on her computer screen. James' was a long paper, listing all his infractions and academic achievements. "And what happened in the hallway? You first, Jamie." James winced internally at the diminutive form of his name, and leaned forward slightly.

"I was meeting with Professor Spence, when I realized that Ley was missing. I had sent her to deliver a message -"

"Verbal or physical?"

"Verbal. I just wanted her to tell my Predicate Logic teacher that I wouldn't be able to attend the next lecture, due to a client coming on Tuesday."

She wrote this down, obviously planning to check the facts on this in order to catch him in a contradiction. James chuckled mentally. This was child's play; he'd been avoiding contradictions since he was five years old, in far more dangerous circumstances than these. "Proceed," she ordered, with a saccharine smile.

He did so, telling her how Ley was prone to interpreting time clauses in orders loosely, and how he hadn't ordered her to return immediately after delivering the message. How she had stumbled across the summoner - he didn't know his name - summoning a new servant (he gestured to the feline girl atop the gryphon) and the summon had not been completely bound by her new master. He'd been taken completely by surprise when his orders concerning spies (which hadn't been countered by necessary force and care instructions) had been acted out by his summons.

Ley had been nearly killed, and the summons had destroyed the hallway, sending the summoner into shock. He had arrived shortly thereafter, with the hope of finding Ley somewhere along the way between the office and her destination. Adrianna had come after hearing the noise, and offered to order Mystic to carry the summoner to the infirmary.

"And that's all, really. I don't know what Adrianna was doing outside of class, but I'm glad she was there. I was starting to panic." He shuddered. "The blood was awful. I hope he'll be all right." He felt Row's claws dig into his legs contemptuously as the lemur inflicted an amount of discomfort just below the pain level which he was forbidden to cross. "Who was, er, is he?"

The teacher shook her head, glaring at the feline summons. The feline girl looked smug. "His name is Skye Briht, and not permitted to summon a type-B," she told him, glancing over at the feline girl. "It serves him right for summoning such a powerful creature. What is your name, summons?" she asked. "And you, Adriana, what were you doing out of class? What type is your summons?"

[Ooc: Hope I'm not powerplaying; I figured that Maira would hang with the rest of them. I'm happy to edit, if necessary. Wildmagic_Warrior, I wasn't sure where Tuxedo Thomas was, so I couldn't include him. :/ Aeiou, likewise. Is Fisk at the school nearby them, or something? ^.^]

{ Fisk is near the school, but he's on his way back to his summoners house. You could intercept him, but I wouldn't worry too much about including me tonight. I can't get to a computer and it's terrible to try and be literate on an iPad. I'll make a large post tomorrow and get myself included x3 <3 }

Maira had been, much to the luck of the other two summoners who had been half-dragged to this irritating teacher, quickly trapped by words. She was, required by the first order Skye had given her upon being summoned, forced to pretend to be a Rank-A, albeit a strong one. Given the damage she had done to the hallway, it was far too late to fake being weak. Thus the only way to just push herself below the line between the ranks was to fake supreme stupidity. Something Maira was both not good at, and hated doing.

As they passed by the wing of the school for younger summoners, Maira looked reasonably impressed at the young age of the children she saw. Seeing Skye she had thought summoners had gotten younger since she had last been called, but that was just ridiculous. It was like begging for one summon to get free and go on a massacre. Taking all the details she could in case someday they might be of use, Maira focused mostly on what places would cause the most damage should she hit them, something that could potentially happen if she could trigger a fight while Skye's orders were still unspecific. Once they got to the office though, closed off from the rest of the place, her interest fell away and Maira yawned.

She ignored most of the first parts of the conversation, for they were unimportant to her. Being careful not to do anything that could perceived as harm for sadly she was forbidden to, Maira clung a small bit tighter to Mystic, more or less burying her face into the other summon's back as a young child would do a stuffed animal. Might as well annoy him, and see if she couldn't trigger an order that would lead to another fight in such a perfect location.

Putting on a bored, blank face for James' explanation of what had occurred, Maira was trying not to fall asleep. Her forever-changing mood-swings always gave her summoners many pains, and it was astounding just how fast she could be asleep after even the smallest of speeches. However, in that case given there was he potential for chaos, the feline-summon made herself stay awake. Hearing herself addressed, Maira wiped away any even remotely intelligent look from her face, making her eyes wide and blank. Time to play stupid.

"Not B. A." Maira mumbled, as if she couldn't figure out the words or how to use them correctly. Her brow furrowed as if in deep thought, before answering to the question. Her true name was not Maira of course, but that was what she gave as her response. And then, her work done, she buried her face back into Mystic.

((Post is short, muse has been dead.
I have Rose who can summon one of the lingering summons if needed. ^^))

"If you don't want to hear something
that you may be offended by, then don't commit a dumb act for
it to be criticized by another."
The red-haired girl just listened to the conversation not wanting to remotely butt in. For one she wasn't sure what to really say to defend her case without giving away what her real purpose for being there was. She knew that if she spoke now, it would surely ruin what James seemed to be doing.

By his words, she figured out he was actually trying to get himself, Skye and her out of trouble. The woman's expression looked skeptical at first but changed to some sign of belief. This was a very good sign for them so their punishment wouldn't be extreme. However, that relief subsided when the cat-like summon spoke. She sounded a bit dumbfounded all of a sudden and it made her wonder. Whatever the reason for this summon's weird behavior, it didn't concern her in the least bit. She drew her attention back to the woman as she said something about not knowing why the girl was in the hallways to begin with. She quickly cut in before anything else was said to state it.
"I was actually in the hallways because I asked to go to the restroom really. You can ask my teacher about that if you don't belief this to be true."

The griffin looked at the summon upon his back and growled lowly. She was actually starting to become very irritating. Besides that, the summon didn't like others on his back that weren't his summon or had his full permission to do so. If their wasn't that rule keeping him from losing his temper on Maira. The large summon had laid down to decrease his size. If he was standing, it would have caused the small turf of his gray plumage that laid on his ears to slight rub against the office ceiling. The summons tail swept back and forth across the ground behind the two summons. He was growing bored of this little chatting session now and as a result, pushed his beak under Adriana's arm, to grab her attention.

Adriana looked down at her summon and pet the plumage between his eyes as she kept her attention of the office woman. She didn't want to be expelled at the time as she wasn't sure how to handle that type of thing.
