Ashton brought Primrose out of her stall, leading the mare over to a pair of crossties, clipping the ties onto the black rope halter.

He laid the lead rope over her neck, tying it into a loose knot so that it wouldn't drag on the ground. He grabbed his brushes and started to use a rubber curry on the Aussie's copper coat, getting any shavings, dust or dirt off.

Afetr this, he went over her again with a hard brush, then a soft brush after.

The blonde checked her feet, getting any mud out with a hoof pick. Then he ran a brush through her mane and tail.

He took a quick walk to the tack room, retrieving his saddle pad, saddle and bridle.

He set the saddle pad on her back, centering it before putting on the saddle and cinching her up, putting the leftover length of the latigo through a ring that was off to the side.
He buckled the breast collar on, clipping it onto the cinch underneath.

Then, he unclipped the crossties and put the bridle on over the rope halter, the mare quietly taking the snaffle bit onto her mouth.

After checking things over once more, Ashton led the mare out and to the western arena, opening the gate and leading her through. He hopped on once the gate had been shut behind him, and got settled before he had the Aussie go into a walk, warming up.

James stood with his horse, Bolt, in the stable - looking rather the fool. The chestnut gelding turned his head towards him, nudging his muzzle against his arm. He gave him a quick pat before lengthening his stirrups a few holes. Checking his girth and tugging it tighter, he attempted to mount. Bolt was a good 17.2 hh and James was a tad shorter-than-average for his age. His first attempt failed miserably. He had got his foot into the stirrup, but Bolt had shifted his bum away from him cheekily. James sighed, knowing he should do some work with Bolt later on standing still. Determined to actually mount on Bolt himself, he held his reins loosely in his left hand before pushing himself off the floor. The gelding snorted and moved off quickly, doing a few strides of trot before James actually managed to sit himself up properly. He pulled up Bolt shortly, sorting out his stirrups as quickly as he can. Bolt whipped his tail around, ready to go. Finally, James had sorted out his stirrups and adjusted his hat slightly. Giving Bolt a little squeeze, he made his way to the jumping arena so Bolt could let off some steam.

Walking quickly to the arena, James was rather disappointed to find that Ally and Gemini was already in there. Looking around at the course, he could tell that they had already been there for a while. Bolt swivelled his ears forward, watching the pair curiously. James walked Bolt up to the gate and bent down to open the gate. He walked Bolt in before turning and closing it securely. Turning towards the other pair, he asked loudly, "Are you done in here?".

[size=85]Ally was in the middle of jumping the course of ten jumps, asking Gemini to lengthen her collected canter between jump 4a and 4b when she heard a new voice entering her bubble. When she jumped, she usually didn't get caught up on what happened around her. She focused on the jumping. "Are you done here?" the voice said. As she landed over 4b, she looked towards jump 5, catching a look of the guy that had said those words. By the gate, he was mounted on a gorgeous chestnut thoroughbred, but him being there didn't make her stop jumping. She never stopped right in the middle of a course. Plus, the question, in Ally's opinion, was a little silly. She was right in the middle of jumping a course. After that, she would re-jump parts she wanted to improve, but her horse still had to be walked after. However, Ally wasn't going to ignore the boy, so she just said, "Jumping.." As soon as the word came out, she turned her attention back to the jump, shortened Gemini's stride a bit and hit the take off perfect. She continued around to 6 and 7, and went right to the end, at 10. Each jump was jumped almost perfect. Gemini got the striding right, and jumped a usual big jump over each, which did look amazing. After landing over 10, Ally circled Gemini, bringing her back to a trot, and then a walk. She decided none of the jumps needed to be improved on, seeing as they were only standing at a meter, while Ally has jumped Gemini bigger.

(( Hey guys! Just a heads up: I have colorguard tryouts all this week and half of next week. I am really tired when i get home, and my knee kills me. I've had knee surgery a few months ago and the doctor just gave me the ok, to start being active again. It's really taking a toll. I also need to get caught up in my geometry, so i'll be poking in for a short time every evening, but not for long. I'm sorry, please bare with me. -hugs- .:Hoofbeats:.))

James was rather irritated at the girl, but he couldn't help watching them jump. He had jumped Bolt big, but not as demanding as a full course of 1m jumps. Seeing that the other pair had finished, he asked loudly again, "Are you done? I'd like to put the jumps down." He looked away, finding it awkward where to look. James didn't really like admitting that he wasn't the best rider, but he felt the need to ask her anyway out of politeness. Bolt flicked his ears around, sniffing the air as he examined the jumps. He saw the way the other two jumped and liked their style.

Ally looked back over at the boy, who refused to allow himself to meet her eye. She sighed to herself, out of his hearing before saying, "Yeah...I'll walk her out to cool her off". Usually, when somebody occupied an arena you just used a different one...or waited until they had finished riding, or even just share the space. But obviously, Ally saw that this boy saw none of these things as an option. He had asked twice, not even a minute between each, showing impatience. It made Ally see him as a guy that needed to get what he wanted. But, she wasn't going to judge him. She didn't know him. She walked Gemini up t the gate, keeping a contact on her reins because she knew his horse was a stallion. She just hoped he could control that matter better then he could control his patience. She leaned forward and opened the gate, allowing it to swing open and walked out. She said nothing else to this boy. She made a quick decision of walking down the lanes along the fields to cool her off. She liked it down there, and so did Gemini. It was relaxing, there was a nice view, and other horses.
