"well as much as i know that, i have to survive and even though they know that as well they probably think the same. plus what if they got home and their family had already starved. then where would we be?" she replied

Sapheara sat down and leaned on his shoulder, She stroked his hair softly, the way her mother used to do to the father, before she died. She smiled, "Its really great, not having to hide." She frowned, "But as soon as the games start its back to hiding." She smiled again, "But we can worry about that later." She kissed his cheek, "You wanna come up to the fifth floor for dinner tonight?"

"anything to get away from that monster from my district" he replied with a chuckle "hey what is your token, you know from your district?" he asked "lots of people don't even bring them anymore"

My dad began drinking, and as the oldest it became my job to take care of Jake and Rosie." She furrowed her brow as she noticed a tiny pin with a gold pin on the ribbon, "What kind of bird is that? It looks almost like a mockingjay, is it?" She looked at the eensy bird, "I always knew my mom was a bit of a rebel." She looked at Otac, "Who are your parents?"
