Sunclaw's tail lashed even harder from side to side. "Oh, but they could have kept us, Moonshade. They're just too cowardly to tell the truth for once in their miserable lives." She knew she was asking for trouble, but she didn't care anymore. Nothing could contain the fiery anger pumping through her. "Anything to say to that?" She challenged, turning to Morningdove. "Anything at all? You want to tell me more silly lies?"

A low hiss sounded from the she-cat. "Lies?! I haven't lied to you all night. But, here's a lie for you, I care," She ended with a low growl. Her lovely eyes flicked over to Moonshade. "It's yours," Morningdove said sourly. Her voice was pumping with fury and hatred. Nothing seemed to make sense anymore, and the only thing that made it worse was the touch of sound coming from above. Nearly silent, but a twig scraped against some fur.

Sunclaw's eyes widened as she whirled around to face Moonshade agin. She could barey contain her anger at Morningdove, but with Moonshade it was different. Moonshade had raised Sunclaw, always helped her. The calico she-cat had been fully prepared to forgive Moonshade for her deception, until she'd heard this. "What? Moonshade?" Her voice cracked. "I've always trusted you...." She was on the verge of completely breaking down now. Was there anyone she could trust anymore? Foxchaser, she thought. I can always trust Foxchaser.

Moonshade's beautifully shattered, dark eyes were huge and she finally looked up at Sunclaw, but she hardly glanced at her before staring at Morningdove with disbelief. What? It's my fault?! "I...I.." she stuttered. SHe couldn't believe her. She'd practically thrust two new-born kits on her to care for and completely change her life in one night out of nowhere. And Morningdove had the audacity to threaten to kill Moonshade, too! Some friend she was... Moonshade was so bewildered and hurt and angry and shameful all at the same time; it was hard to think. She swallowed. "Sunclaw-" she began, but broke off suddenly, narrowing her eyes in confusion. There was a funny scent near them. Something that made her skin crawl.
Then all of a sudden, a huge black and white tom with feathery fur and blood-red eyes waltzed out of the bushes, with a smug, proud, and petty look on his face. "Well, clearly you're not the goody-two-shoes she-cat I used to think I knew." He was staring straight at Moonshade. He flicked his tail, claws scraping the ground. "How are you, Moonheart? Busy?" he purred evilly, glancing at the other she-cats in complete amusement.
Moonshade's eyes flew open, and she started to shudder. "You..." she rasped in a weak, scared voice. She lowered herself to the ground. Claw... He's here. He's HERE. In my home. Again. "What are you doing here?" she hissed ferociously. On instinct, shestood slowly and stepped in front of Sunclaw protectively, almost forgetting she already knew they weren't related. She let out a snarl and her eyes were wild and angry.

So she had heard a cat. A growl rippled thought the she-cats throat as she stared into the side of a black and white tom. He had said Moonheart, and it made Morningdove remember the known history of her friend. It must have been her old warrior name. Morningdove prepared to strike, but stood a little more relaxed than everyone else.

Claw blinked his bloody eyes and smirked, looking at the older she-cat who'd growled to his side. "Ah, this one's feisty." He laughed horribly and turned towards her, lashing his black-tipped tail.
Moonshade's wide eyes were filled with stormy anger now. He'd sent fake love in her direction. He'd toyed with her heart, using others. He murdered her clan. He destroyed her home. He left her alive to suffer afterwards. This tom had ruined her life. She let out another hiss, teeth still bared as he looked at Morningdove. "HEY." She lashed her dark grey tabby tail in rage.
Claw blinked, looking back at Moonheart, tipping his head at her. Well, she's definitely stronger....
"I am talking to you, fox-dung," she spat. She'd never appeared this enraged and angry in front of any of her Thunderclan or Timberclan clanmates. Ever. "I said, WHAT are you doing here?" she snarled, lowering her head. Her eyes were piercing into his face with pure hatred.

F e a t h e r p a w
Pools of molten gold flickered open in the dark confines of a warm and cosy den, the green moss looking nearer to black due to the lack of light. Jaws opened as lips peeled back and ivory fangs glistened as a yawn escaped. Then the cat rolled over onto her back, paws held above her as her tail tip twitched, nudging scraps of moss. Stretching a little, she then turned over and pushed herself to her paws, sitting proudly upright.
This sight, however, was ruined by the fur that was sticking up in tufts along her spine, flanks and tail. Twisting around, the cat began to groom her soft fur to perfection, rough pink tongue rasping in the silence. Then, upon finishing, she stood, arching her back downwards so that her chest pressed to the floor and then exited.
Featherpaw was ready for the day.

Sunclaw's boldly pushed her foster mother aside, stepping up to face Claw. "Who are you? What do you want with her?" She unsheathed her claws again, swishing her tail angrily against the ground.

Moonshade's eyes widened even farther and she growled a little at Sunclaw, not caring if she got annoyed. She urged her to stand behind her gently, not letting her get closer to Claw than she already was. Her tail lashed and she hissed quietly to the young calico, "Quiet, Sunclaw. Just stand back." It hurt to speak to one of the two most precious cats she had in her life like that, but it was only for Sunclaw's protection. She faced Claw again angrily and stood tall. "Well?" she demanded.
Claw glared at Sunclaw. He was almost two times her size. He'd always been a huge tom and could beat her easily- he knew. He looked at Moonheart again with his evil, bloody eyes. "Well..." he began in a silky tone, "You do remember the thing I planned for Stoneclan? Oh yes, of course you do."
Moonshade swallowed, flicking her ear and tried to hold back tears but her expression didn't change. She unsheathed her claws and scraped the ground impatiently.
"Well, I was thinking of doing the same thing. And we can't... while you're here." He smiled horribly and took one step towards her, lashing his tail now too, but in excitement. His muscles rippled and he bared his teeth. "IF you don't mind, sweetheart.." he said, speaking to Sunclaw.
Moonshade snarled sharply, "You will not touch her, Claw. Leave now. You and all of Nightclan. Leave and never come back- this is your first warning." Her eyes looked like they were on fire.
"Hmmm..." Claw glanced up then back down. "No... I think I might stay here a while. He winked at Sunclaw and lashed out at Moonheart out of nowhere.
Moonshade let out a shriek of shock and pain and lowered her head, shadows shading her face. She looked up at him slowly, with a dark expression on her face. Four long cuts traced through her beautiful fur on her cheek and it bled heavily. She hissed and murmured, "Alright, no more warnings." She raised her hackles and leaped on top of the huge tom, much stronger than she was so long ago.
Claw writhed in anger and surprise at Moonheart's sudden ferocity that he'd never seen before but she kept him down with an iron grip.

This was a fight for her friend, and one Morningdove was unsure of. "Sunclaw, go get help. We will handle this," She said, a sour tint remaining in her voice. The she-cat leapt onto the rogue's side, biting at his softer spots.
