Sigma sneered. So that was his angle. Play nice until he'd extracted enough information out of her. Well, she wasn't buyin' it. "I've been careful." She stepped forward and picked up her laptop from the floor, careful to keep her eyes on him as she did so. "And I'm not gonna throw away all that caution just for a pretty face. I am Sigma, and that's all you'll ever know." She began to back up towards the door, laptop under one arm and bottle gripped in her other hand.

Lucien rushed to the door, placing his hand firmly against it. "You're going nowhere." he growled, his dagger clasped so tightly in his hand that his knuckles were white. The violet poison on the blade, still wet, glimmered beautifully in the light.

Lucien despised this contract. This idiot girl, Sigma, had the exact personality as Allison, the same looks, everything. He glared angrily at her, as if to say; "How dare you be like her?!"

[Falls]

Sigma couldn't help but laugh at Lucien's statement. "Wanna bet?" she asked before swinging the hand with the bottle in it. She put all her effort into it, aiming right at his head.

Lucien quickly ducked as the champagne bottle smashed against the door, glass and the remaining champagne raining down on him. The shards weren't large enough to harm him, but now his suit and hair were dripping with champagne.

It was all so idiotic and infuriating that he felt like laughing.

And he did. He laughed softly, shaking his head and running a hand through his loose, champagne soaked hair.

[Falls]

Sigma was infuriated. Not only had she just wasted her only good weapon, Lucien was laughing at her for it! With an angry grunt, she threw a punch at him and then another, not caring where they landed anymore. As she took a step forward to punch again her bare foot encountered a shard of glass. With a yelp, she collapsed.

Lucien felt a punch on his shoulder, and the other fist landed on the door. He backed up, the glass crunching beneath his leather boots. His heart jumped to his throat as she collapsed, his mind screaming stupidly; 'Allison! Are you alright? What's happening? I thought you were dead? I'm sorry.
He leaned down, grabbing her by the arm and hauling Sigma's body to the couch.

[Falls]

Sigma gave up and let Lucien drag her to the couch. She sat there, eyes downcast as she held her bleeding foot. Her dark hair fell over her face as she hung her head, hiding most of her expression. "So..." she began, her voice quite and desolate, "are you going to kill me or what?" She thought about pulling the glass out of her foot, but what would it matter in a few minutes?

Lucien was silent, strands of his long, dark brown hair hanging over his handsome, but somber, face. Blood still leaked from his forehead and jaw a bit, his hair and suit still wet from the champagne. "Why did you have to make yourself a target? Was a simple life not good enough for you? " Lucien growled at her angrily, his hands clenched into fists, his brown eyes blazing.

Sigma shook her head. "I'll take an assassin over poverty any day, thank you very much," she snapped, jerking her head back up to glare at him. "Besides, you're life isn't simple either. Don't be a hypocrite, they're often worse than murderers." She spat the last word out and aimed it at him.

Lucien barked a laugh, though it was far from joyful or happy. "You've no idea about my life, Sigma!" he snarled, running a hand through his sopping hair once again. It seemed to be something he did whenever he was anxious or angry.
