-~ Leah -~ Lioness -~ Loner -~
Leah licked her pad irritably. She had gotten a thorn stuck in it. She muttered something under her breath. She had been searching for a pride to join for a few days with no luck. She had been invited to join one pride and ran out of the other one. The pride she was searching for was Ash Pride. She grasped the thorn with her teeth and yanked it out. Finally! she thought. She tried to put some preassure on her pad but it stung. She pushed herself up on three paws and limped away. She took a deep breath, inhaling the scents. She scented a faint trace of lion and her heart soared. Gradually, as the scent became stronger her pace became faster. She looked around, there was a strong smell of lion, but no-one around. "Hello?" she called quietly. Despite her longing to join a pride she was very shy.

*Kayin slowly padded through the long grass. Her pink tongue stuck out from her mouth as her heated body roamed through the scorching plains. Or at least it felt that way. She made barely any noise. The tall grass came up to the smaller lioness' shoulder. Her ears were perked forward and her eyes were vigilant. She could hear the distant sounds of another female lion. The lioness was traveling upwind, allowing the scent of the hidden male to fill her dark nose. She lowered her body, creeping forward until the lioness was in view. She couldn't see the male lion. She watched carefully, staying still and quiet, though her body was tense, ready to spring forward in a moments notice.

*The two lions paused in the long grass, a small herd of gazelle ahead of them. The grass was tall enough to conceal the cub easily, though Sheba did crouch slightly to conceal her whole body. Sheba continued to flick her tail back and forth, something she did when she was annoyed, although that happened rarely. Kato watched his mothers tail, eyeing it as it flicked back and forth. The little cub crouched behind a small rock. He slowly crept on top it, waiting until Sheba was distracted and looking the other way. The strong cub pounced on her tail, taking the rough end in his mouth. Sheba let out a quiet snarl in surprise, although she calmed herself immediately. She turned her head back to her cub to tell him to be quiet. She hadn't hunted in several days and she had been detached from her pride for a few days. She was missing the support of the group and contemplated moving closer to them. She knew little of where any of them were, not even Michezo, whom she had been interested in since she was a young cub, although he was at least four years older than her.
