I have a question. I've always been curious about this but my curiosity finally got the better of me. What happens when a 'rarity' hoard pet's rarity changes? Both of the current largest 'common' hoards have changed rarities to Uncommon. Do they still count or should they be removed due to no longer being the required rarity? Technically anyone with a hoard of Common pets could take over those positions since, as per the description of the record itself, they no longer meet the requirements of the hoard.

Now, before anyone's all like 'you just want the record for yourself'....I don't. I could toss the 4 Common Malk Owls I've got into a group and call it a hoard to take the non-dog spot but I won't since I don't like the owl in question that much to hoard it. I'm quite happy with holding my one record. I just wanted to satisfy my curiosity is all. =3

Nope. They get removed. I check on the rarity hoards around rarity update time to see if any hoard no longer qualifies.

Unfortunately Owls are special and qualify under Malk's.
The largest Malk Owl single variation hoard is 60 and held by Rosalind.



Update: Largest Bunny Hoard is now up to 1474 bunnies.

Actually, the hoard does qualify, since Derby is aiming for a rarity-based hoard.
Any species that is not a dog can compete for the spot as long as it has the right rarity tag^^

ahh. I thought that was for commonly released pets (cats, horses, etc) not the specials like Malk's or bunnies.

~Largest "common" single variation hoard~ I had originally considered it a complete hoard when I hit 100 but it has continued to grow... up to 203 so far.
