Ellethwen rode on, going as fast as she dared through the dangerous forest of Mirkwood. She reached the edge after a few hours of hard riding and began to streak across the open plain. For a few hours she rode swiftly, then stopped to camp for lunch and a break for her mount. While he grazed she ate a light meal and picked flowers to braid into her hair. As soon as they had finished their rest, she mounted again and they were off, streaking quickly in the general direction of Rivendell.

[spring.]

Bellingal gets Shield-Bearer and mounts onto the mare after waking up Gwathdien. She waits for the Lore-Master to summon two horses before allowing Balpheron to lead them to where they are headed. She looks up at Hawkeye who is flying high above them. She smiles slightly, looking over to Gwathdien.

Lunaryn went swiftly down the stairs, looking for somebody to talk to. She sighed.Since the war of the Ring, everything was so silent in all elven kingdoms. Most of the elves had gone to the Gray Heavens, and the ones that remained were few.
She walked along the hall, admiring all the statues and paintings. They were all about something important in Middle Earth, such as the stone figure that had held the shards of Narsil long ago, and the beautiful painting of Isildur defeating Sauron.
Lunaryn´s gaze suddenly fell upon a new painting. It hung on the wall like all the others, but something made it special: It showed the scene where finally the ring had been destroyed.
The elf got closer. In the upper right corner was the dark figure of Mount Doom, and two small shapes, the hobbits. In the ash grey sky, five eagles circled on top of a huge army of orcs, fighting against a small group of humans, a dwarf, and... an elf. Lunaryn smiled sadly as she noticed that it was her brother, Legolas. He hadn´t returned to Mirkwood since then, and it had been fifty years, not much for an elf, but she still missed him. Other than her sister, Ellethwen, he was the only person in her family that she would want to be with.
Lunaryn wondered if he was in Rivendell. There was a good chance he could be, or maybe he was with his friend, a dwarf. She raised an eyebrow at the thought. News had come that Legolas was very good friends with that dwarf. A dwarf! She shook her head looking for someone that she could ask.

Legolas is a brave and intelligent elf. He is incredibly agile and strong, and never talks much about himself. He cares a lot for his friends but sometimes doesn't talk with them so much,as they are all much younger than him. He can get angry very quickly and protects people that he likes.

History
Legolas grew up in Mirkwood. He is the heir, as he is the eldest son of Thranduil. He was well trained in how to defend himself, being especially good with the bow because of his good eyesight. He killed many giant spiders, and taught his younger sisters many things, including shooting, fighting with knives,about trees and tracking.He was sent to the war of the ring, and said he would look after his sisters, but his father refused. Legolas missed them a lot, but survived the war anyway. After that, he didn't want to return to Mirkwood so he stayed in Rivendell, to the disagreement of his father.

Bellingal leads the trio as she puts Shield-Bearer into a gallop through the forest. She hears the two horses Gwathdien and Balpheron are riding behind her. They had named the bay Spruce and the chestnut Maple. Bellingal slows Shield-Bearer to a canter and looks back to Balpheron and Gwathdien.

Ellethwen thundered along the path towards Rivendell. It had been much better hidden in the past few years, but had become more frequently used since then. The grass had been worn away on the hard-packed earth, and the twisting road extended into the distance, past the range of even an Elf's eyesight.
