I feel almost offended that American comics are assumed to be about superheroes only. :< *wants to be a comic artist*

When I think comic, I think of a story told with images. The main difference: Country of origin. There's plenty of genres explored in comics produced there and here, in all sorts of places.

I don't think they revolve around super heroes only-that's just what I see a lot. Not to be rude, but I have yet to see an American comic that doesn't include a super hero. I'd be glad to read one, though.

The fact that the financial aid and student accounts offices at my college don't know how to do their forking jobs. -_-' I'm sick of having to jump through hoops to fix their goof ups every semester because they refuse to pick up the phone to communicate with each other. I'M NOT GETTING PAID TO DO YOUR JOBS FOR YOU. Urguhfjdkla. >_<

Ugh, I ended up having to do another full semester because of Student Services in my college and university messing up so often. >.< When I was taking my classes at the college, I was told all the courses I was in would transfer to the other university I was going to. Actually almost half of them didn't, and my GPA on the courses that did transfer was too low for me to get any scholarships because they were mostly non-Biology courses that I wasn't as good in. Also, one of the courses used to transfer but had just been taken off their list of transferable courses, so I had to fight to get that accepted because I'd done it while it was still a recognized course (I got it in the end though). I had to retake a full year of Physics because the version they'd told me I had to take was the wrong one for my program, so I had to do the other version as well. That put me over the limit of first-year courses I was allowed to take, which meant that I had to take another 2nd-year+ course in addition to retaking most of my Biology courses that hadn't transferred over. Finally I just started completely ignoring anything the advisors and such told me, and after that I had no more problems. Yeah, I've got a pretty low opinion of the abilities of Student Services. =.=
