Suntail rolledover to show Firewing a huge wound. "Help..." She whispered.

"Yep. But I don't think it's called a half brother. A half brother is when your mom gets another mate and has a Hatchling, then that Hatchling is your half brother, or your dad gets another mate and has a Hatchling. I think we're just adopted brothers or whatever, I don't know the official term." Laughed Mudtail. "Hey, by the way, don't you want to be a Fledgling? I bet it's boring, having to stay a Hatchling while your brothers and sisters move on!"

"I don't know how!" Firewing wailed. He was about to panic -- he was useless when it came to stuff like this! Too bad Orangeheart wasn't caring. Or so he thought.
Orangeheart had been missing from the Tree-hole, and Firewing remembered her just as she flew in, some moss clutched in her small beak. "Here, Suntail." The oriole said, pressing the moss to the wound, trying to stop the bleeding.

Suntail sighed in relief. Her side had stopped bleeding but it still hurt. "Thanks."

He nodded when he said that it was boring while the others moved on as fledgling, he stayed hatching. "It's not bad, but no other hatching really speak to me. "

"You're welcome." Was the only thing Orangeheart could manage. She could hardly speak -- this 'Flamingbeak' was so mean. That stupid bird with the leader's name she didn't deserve had done this to Suntail...

"That's because there's no other Hatchlings except for Brownwing's Hatchling who just hatched like a heartbeat ago!" Mudtail laughed, collapsing on the ground and rolling around, laughing.

He rolled his eyes then looked around. "When do you think I'll be a fledgling? "

"I dunno, when you get all your feathers in, or when you reach one season." Mudtail stopped laughing for a moment to say this, but then started laughing again. He always found it hard to stop laughing when he started!

[Nutheart]

Flamingbeak was flitting and zooming about like a pesky, stinging insect once again. "Tut, tut! Can't beat up a little hummingbird? I don't understand why you got resurrected, Brownwing. Surprised I know? Sandbeak notices these things, so I notice them too! I know that Jumpwing wishes that he and Birchwing could raise a family, that Orangeheart used to flirt with Swiftwing, and that Misttail was a bully magnet. I'm not as ignorant as you might think!"

Speaking of Misttail, she was hopping between branches, now able to glide for a few inches on her silent wings. The owl's eyes were filled with excitement, and she didn't see Flamingbeak coming.
But she most definitely heard.
She ducked as Flamingbeak shot over her head, beak ready to spear her. Misttail futiley tried to grab the hummer with her talons, but Flamingbeak flitted away quickly, laughing at the scare she had given the new fledgling. Misttail was already fleeing back to the fledglings' tree-hole.

Sunfeather tried to get up, but her body would not let her. "Get my parents.....if you can." She whispered.
