Velvetpelt snarled a challenge and lashed out with her front paw, smacking him viciously across his face and sending him flying, yet again. He pretty blue optics were laced with menacing anger.

Thornfeather hissed with anger and her fur bristled as she watched the loner win against her son. She would have joined the fight if it were optional and sent the kittypet packing.

Velvetpelt stood upright, staring at the apprentice was not with a mencacing look, no, a look of concern shone in her eyes, although she knew he was probably hurt.

Blackstar smiled slyly and shot a look at Russelpaw.

Darkfang snickered lightly at the fight.

Thornfeather ran to Cloudpaw.

Velvetpelt sat, still lowered into an attack position. Cloudpaw hadn't had a chance to properly attack, much to her delight although she already slightly cared for the apprentice in a friendly way.

"Didn't expect her to be so fast. Nothing I can't handle." Russetfur sniffed, growling lowly.

Blackstar strode away in triumph back to his den.

"Told ya we should give her a chance." he said knowingly.

"Are you alright?" she asked coolly to her former kit. And he nodded.

Velvetpelt sighed, trotting back to the front of the medicine cat den and watching Blackstar disappear into his den. She was grateful that the huge tom had given her a chance to prove herself worthy.

"I guess you were right, but this changes nothing." Russetfur sniffed, flicking his shoulder friendily with her tail.
"Say, how about a hunt?"

"Sure." he said slyly, flashing her a debonair smile.

Velvetpelt stared at the den for a few seconds more, remember Blackstars proud amber gaze. Pushing the thoughts away, she began to look curiously over the camp.

"Lets go." Russetfur meowed, trotting out of camp.

Darkfang flashed Velvitpelt a wink and a sly smirk before trotting out of camp.
