Anise is a three-year-old female.
She is black and brown and petite.
She is shy, but friendly.

White. That was the only color Anise could see, and it made her whole body ache. She had been wandering for hours through this blizzard, desperate for a shelter of any kind. Her paws had started bleeding a little while ago, and she had a feeling that if she dug, she would just hurt herself more. She needed her feet; they were the gateway to life. You could run from danger and catch prey if you had paws, and if you didn't, you were doomed.
Stopping, the black and brown she-wolf stared at her surroundings, searching once more. What she saw wasn't what she expected. A large bear, a wolf clinging to its back, more around it as far as she could see. Her hackles rose, and part of her wanted to flee. Other wolves! This thought drove her forward, and she skittered around the bears raging paws to face it. There were other wolves! She crouched, considering what to do for a moment, then backed up some more.

The bear turned, making a blind swipe at Kalia, and missing completely. Sam paused a moment, watching the fae carefully, then nodded, a shadow of a grin on his face. Perhaps things wouldn't be so bad after all, assuming they survived this encounter. His lips pulled back into a snarl as he prepared to attack again, crouching low to the ground, when suddenly yet another wolf made an appearance. Months he had gone without seeing a soul and now, within mere hours, he was in the presence of enough wolves to make a decent sized pack! But this was no time for family planning. The stranger's fangs were aimed at the bear, not him, and so his concern immediately returned to attack. He had to keep it's focus on him, whether the others could hold their own or not. At least until someone came up with a plan. Heck, maybe they didn't need one. With so many wolves, bear might just be on the menu.

While it's back was turned, Sam sprung, sinking his teeth into it's already wounded paw with the intent to fully disable it. They had to get it back onto all fours if they were to have any hope of killing it. At least he managed to grab it's attention. The beast took a swipe at him, but he relaxed, letting his body swing with the attack. It raked a long gash into his side, but didn't breech much more than skin. By now Sam's teeth had worked their way past muscle and he let go, landing on his paws and dodging another swipe. But he grinned as it held the bloody forelimb closer to it's chest, limp and unmoving.


(Forgive me, I was never very good with battle scenes. Let me know if this sounds totally unrealistic. o_o)

Kalia, noticing the bear was distracted, turned to it's back and leaped, take a large bite on it. It turned, howling, and smaked her with a giant paw. Luckily, no claws had been involved in it, but it was enough to send her spinning. She snarled and ran toward the beast, fangs bared. To invite the others to help fight it, she waved her tail. Anyone could help, so long as they were physically able. She slashed at the bear with her claws, not doing much damage at all, and ducked to avoid the bear's claws as it attempted to kill her once again, before readying to leap. The bear swiped at her legs, and knocked her down. She was helpless now, as the bear leaned in to kill her. Though she was not the fastest runner, she was fast enough to escape the snapping jaws of the bear for now, running to help Sammael. He had seemed as though he didn't want to fight with her a second ago, she thought she had seen the ghost oa a smile on his lips. I have a feeling we are going to get along better than expected. She thought.

{I hope there's nothing wrong with mine, I just finished a giant writing project that took about an hour, trying to finish before 9:00 , wo there better not o.o}
