Sam stepped back a little so the injured wolf had a clear path to this new hollow. He almost sat, but his fur was bristling still. At least one other wolf was nearby. A female, by the tone of the howl. But he also felt like he was being watched. A quick sweep of the snow around them yielded nothing. The wind was kicking up too much white stuff for his vision to be of much use. So Sam put his back to the tree, confident that nothing truly dangerous could climb, and perked his ears, nose to the wind. A silent guard. He didn't know much about healing anyway. His wounds he'd just let be til they were knotted scars under his coat.

The response hit her ears like music. Life she thought, gaining momentum. Despite the thickness of the snow, her legs were able to carry her swiftly. The joy she felt was amazing, I'm not alone, i'm nearly free. the thoughts raced in her mind. And there he was. The small pool of blood wasn't frighting, but made her more cautious. "Hello.." She spoke softly, just over the sound of the wind. Creeping closer, head held low, yet eyes wide with curiosity.

Kanan;
More, and an injured brute he thought. Sitting up on the edge, watching over them. The wind was harsh up there, the snow made his eyesight worsen. So down the edge climbed, It's not a cliff, its a den. he thought, standing on the narrow ledge on one of the rocks that formed the covered den. The fall had actually would have been just feet he concluded after a closer look. "Might as well jump." Kanan told himself under his breath. His front paws sunk into the snow, cushioning his fall, but made it far harder to get out of the snow.

Kalia watched as more wolves followed, distrustfully wondering why they all happened to be nearby. Where they following her? Was she that easy to follow, even in the snow when her scent faded? She growled softly to herself in annoyance. It was good to be with other wolves, but this many and they might alert a territorial pack. Especially that brute. She didn't fear him, but trusted him no farther than she could spit. "Yes, I suppose we should get going," She said irritably.

Nakalla got down into the den and sniffed around on the ground. She ripped up some onion grass, and a small, withered flower she called "Wintergreens". She chewed up the Wintergreen and then mixed the onion grass in with it. "Here," she said, "Onion grass helps cuts heal and wintergreen helps the smell." She put the poultice on his wound.
"Well now," Nakalla settled down. "Now that we're all safe in here, why don't we all introduce appropriately?"

Even with all the wind, the black wolf would recognize the sound of a growl anywhere. Heavens knew he was on the receiving end of many. But he was known to give a few himself. Sam turned away from the white newcomer and the suspicious "watched" feeling and glanced over his shoulder at... What had she said her name was? Ka-something-or-other. He glared at her, showing his teeth only briefly. It wasn't a threat, just a warning. He wasn't afraid of her either.

That done, he stepped towards the opening of the shelter the gray female had procured. He didn't fully trust that they'd all fit down there. Especially him. And maybe that wolf who came with the injured one, and he, at least, deserved to be sheltered with his friend. So Sam settled for sitting by the entrance, where he could probably hear what was said inside, and perhaps make himself useful by blocking some wind or snow, or something. While he waited for the others to assemble, he wondered what had brought them all here. He was certain he wasn't followed, they had come from different directions anyway. But it couldn't have just been coincidence. And Sam didn't believe in fate.

Kalia listened, annoyed, as the male reutrned her growl with the same confidence. Put the two of us together in a den, one of us wouldn't survive. Most likely him. I can't stay with this male much longer, I know if I'm left alone with him it won't be pretty.She thought, wishing she could show this male she wasn't a petty, weak female as he thought she was. Raising her lips slightly as a responce, she raised her tail slightly to show she was ready if he decided to fight. Under the watchful eye of Nakalla and with these injured wolves, however, a chance to end this dislike for each other somehow would have to wait for later. She turned away, sniffing for signs of life, prey, or any other threatening wolves.

"Okay, Okay. Chill out. we can't be fighting, or else it's the end of all of us." Nakalla said. "If one of us falls, we all do. We're not alone now, got it? We're still lost, but not alone. Now quit bickering and come down here. I found something better to eat." She lifted up a frozen hare she had found under the ice. "Be nice, now. And Sammael, we don't need a guard. I don't think there's much out there that will hurt us."

Kalia narrowed her eyes, but walked towards Nakalla. "I'd prefer to hunt my own food, thanks." She said, forcing herself to say it calmly. She was getting the feeling that Nakalla was just scared for her own health if two wolves started fighting, but kept it to herself.

Sam snorted at the both of them. What a trip this was gonna be. But he wasn't stupid enough to ruin his chances of finding a way out of this horrible place, or mean enough to ruin anyone else's. Once they'd escape, they could all go their separate ways and live happily ever after. So he took a deep breath, and again tried to behave and look relatively non-threatening. He tilted his head, glancing down into the hole at Nakalla. "I'm not guarding, necessarily. I'm just not sure we'd all fit under a tree. D'rather let the wounded and his pal and everyone get settled first. And I've eaten recently... You can split the, erm, that's a hare right?" It kinda looked like a frozen rat. Sam shook his head. Be polite... "You can split it with those who haven't. Eaten I mean." He nodded to himself. That hadn't sounded so bad right? Good behavior. Not impossible.

Cam hurried to help Concierto to the make-shift den, and laid him down softly. His ears flicked as he listened to the other wolves speak. As one of them mentioned introductions the brute's eyes brightened. "My name is Camino, and this is Concierto. We ate not too long ago." He said softly, acknowledging what the wolves had said among themselves.

As the she-wolf approached slowly, he watched with calculating cold eyes, but was jolted back tot he world around him as Camino practically pushed him to the den made. With a pointed glare to his companion he laid his head on his paws, curious about the fa that had approached him, he ha heard her say hello before he was hurried off. Butt as usual the brute's attitude was cold towards the others, not speaking only staring into the falling snow where they had brought him from.
