Kayanne
The fae's gaze wandered over to Shayarrana. The she-wolf was relatively new to the pack, and by the way she sighed Kayanne guessed that the older fae didn't think much of her. No wonder- the she-wolf was almost twice her age, as were most of the wolves in the pack. If the Alphas had no died when the had, Kayanne would be a fighter, not Beta or Alpha- and certainly not at her age. As usual, her eyes betrayed no emotion, or rather- they portrayed the wrong one- a sparkling grey sea of enthusiasm for the meeting she was about to hold. The sun pierced her coat, but all it did was highlight the dust that had settled on it. Still, Kayanne had more to worry about than the particles alighting on her pelt. She'd shake it out soon, but standing up and having a good old unwind infront of the pack wasn't a good look, at least not at such a serious time.
Kayanne dipped her head respectfully at Accalia, murmuring: "I'll tell you soon."
Then, Kayanne through her head up and let out a mournful cry, her manner of alerting the pack she was about to speak.
"Good morning." She murmured curtly, before standing and gazing down at the pack from the meager height. "Last week, I announced that the recent departure of the elk has forced me to make....a difficult decision. This territory is just as much part of the pack as we are, but it's leave it or face extinction, and I'll do anything to avoid that. I'm going to assign you jobs based on your rank, and if you co-operate then we can be done faster." The young Alpha barked with authority rare for one of her age, before continuing. "If you hunt for the pack, then you shall be going out into the forest to find as much prey as possible. Some will hunt alone, others together."
"If you are one of my fighters, you'll stay with me. Whilst we're travelling it is likely we'll run into danger, and we need to be sure of how we can battle it. We'll be working on a combat routine. We're more effective as a unit."
"Onyx, you need to sort out your herbs. Anything that's not essential must stay behind. If you're short of supplies, then go out into the forest and gather what you must."
"Accalia, I'd like you to stay in camp with me for a while and help organise the fighters, and then go and check up on the hunters for me to make sure they're doing okay."
"Any questions?" The she-wolf finished, glancing about the pack.
