"Maybe why you're so close to the royal gardens?" Riku asked with a small smirk, raising an eyebrow.

"its so beautiful here." Jessie said. "I'm here all the time, but no one notices me" she added. She smiled at him.

"Well...I guess that's okay. Never thought I'd have met someone out here though." Riku sighed and shook his head. "No one else comes out here anymore...It's really sort of depressing, the way they just leave it here. I've asked if someone will keep it going, but they haven't gotten anyone to do it yet." He said, frowning as his eyebrows pulled together.

Jessie lightly touched one of the plants. "I would do it, but I have other work to do. I accually have a job, belive it or not" she said. Royals didn't have to work, it often made them stuck up and snobby.

"I didn't doubt it...And I try to do it...Unfortunately I don't have as complete a knowledge of the underwater plants as I'd like, and everyone at home insists that I act as the 'proper prince'." Riku shook his head. "It's very aggravating, just sitting on a throne all day." He muttered.

"then why don't you something about it?" Jessie asked. She looked into his eyes.

When Lena got a few miles out of town she finally slowed down. She looked around at the coral reef, so wild and untamed, yet beautiful. She swam slowley around the reef not entirely sure were she was going. Perhaps she would run into someone else.

"Because..." Riku looked thoughtful for a moment. "Because I have a duty to my kingdom. My sister can't inherit the throne...She's the youngest, not to mention a girl." He shook his head. "But I have thought about it before, just leaving. They'd look for me though. I'd be sentenced to a life of running away." He told her.

Jessie nodded. "if I could, I would switch places with you". She said. She always dreamed of living in the castle. It was so pretty there.

Riku thought about this for a moment. "Maybe..." He murmured. "Maybe I could get you into the castle...As a personal servant? I mean, I don't want to force you into anything, but it's a good job and it pays well." He told her.
