Your head hurts, and your palms are slippery with sweat. To stunned to think, you gaze about the crowd blindly. No-one steps forward to take your place. Not one person moves an inch.
Tears well up in your eyes, but you blink them back, determined not to seem weak to your opponent. Eventually, you pick out your family in the crowd. They are crying at the sidelines, but there is nothing that they can do. You have been chosen to compete, to fight for your life. The other tribute joins you, and you shake hands. Both of you are pale in the face, and too shocked to say a thing. It now feels as if the rest of your life has been written out for you. 'Winning will make you famous. Losing means certain death' you stare at the sky as you remember those words. You must win. You must survive ｔｈｅ ｈｕｎｇｅｒ ｇａｍｅｓ.

ｔｈｅ ａｒｅｎａ | The arena is very beautiful, however, it is filled with poisonous things. The only safe place to find food is in the forest or by the waterfalls. It has two sides. One side is known at the 'warm side', which is filled with poisonous things. It is also where the Cornucopia is set. The warm side includes a lake and a huge forest.
The 'cold side' is based off Alaska. It has a beautiful landscape, complete with mountains, forests of pine trees and large, flat fields. This arena was built by the Capitol, which enables it to hold the two environments, both beautiful, both deadly.

ｔｈｅ ｗａｒｍ ｓｉｄｅ ●→

ｃｏｒｎｕｃｏｐｉａ | The Cornucopia is set in a huge field, full of flowers and bushes that grow fruit. The fruit is extremely poisonous, and if you inhale any of the pollen from the flowers, they can poison you and kill you within 24 hours. The careers are most likely to camp about the lake that is not very far away. All the water in the lake is also poisonous, but if you filter it, it is perfectly drinkable.

ｔｈｅ ｌａｋｅ | This is where the careers are most likely to set up camp. It is quite a small lake, but all the water is poisonous. However, if you filter the water it is drinkable. The lake is very close to the Cornucpia. Fish live in the lake, but eat them and you will die quickly. Food is hard to find here, but the forest is nearby, which is a good place for hunting.

ｔｈｅ ｆｏｒｅｓｔ | The forest is mostly very sparce, but as it goes further on it gets much heavier. Several small rivers travel through the forest, then ends in a huge waterfall, marking the end of the whole arena { where the force-field is }. The forest is huge, and includes lots of prey and edible fruits and berries. You need to be a skilled hunter to capture this prey, though.

ｗａｔｅｒｆａｌｌｓ | Probably one of the most beautiful places in the arena, the waterfalls mark the end of the arena. You cannot escape because of the force-field at the bottom of the cliff, and if you touch it the force-field will either electricute you or bounce you back up to the top of the cliff again. It is a good place for fishing due to the small rivers that link the waterfalls to the lake, but the fish closest to the waterfall are not poisonous, however, the water still needs filtering. It is very dangerous.

ｔｈｅ ｃｏｌｄ ｓｉｄｅ ●→

ｗａｔｅｒｆａｌｌｓ | These waterfalls are a lot less steep than the ones on the warm side, and hold loads of salmon, however, brown bears also fish there, so you should look out. They lead into rivers, then eventually into the lake, plus, the waterfalls are not poisonous but need filtering to drink it. They are right beside the woods.

ｔｈｅ ｐｌａｉｎｓ | These plains are very beautiful, and the landscape is complete with huge mountains in the distance. Half the berries in the plains are also poisonous, but some of them are edible or healing plants. You can find a whole array of different animals here, including otters in the rivers that pass through these plains.

ｔｈｅ ｆｏｒｅｓｔ | The forest of pine trees is much more dense than the forest in the warm side. Squirrels and rabbits are quite common, and deer are quite rare here, but you can also find many more animals in the forest, including mutts and traps, so watch your step. From here, you can also see the mountains, but you can never reach them because of the end of the arena, a huge cliff, at the end of the forest.

ｔｈｅ ｌａｋｅ | There is another lake in the arena, and it is twice as big as the lake in the warm side. Leeches live in this lake, so be very careful when fishing. It is a good salmon fishing spot, and fast-moving rivers spread out from it, connecting the waterfalls to the lake, but the rapids have a very strong current.

ｎｏｒｔｈｅｎ ｌｉｇｈｔｓ | The northern lights are impossibly beautiful. You can only see them every now and then, and are quite rare, but watching these amazing lights is a wonderful experiance.

Krystal is very determined and ambitious, she was eager to get into the Hunger Games and voulenteered for her little cousin at the reaping. She is not afraid to kill anyone, and is good at survival. Krystal may seem stuck up and stubborn at first, though really, Krystal is kind and caring when you get to know her. She's very trustworthy and reliable and makes good use of everything she has. She only makes allies if it will be to her advantage, that is why Krystal wants to join the careers.
Krystal is surprisingly clever, and always thinks like her enemy. She is very athletic and almost always on her feet, and she can be very sly and quiet when she has to be.

Krystal hardly ever sees her father as he is always away, being a peacekeeper in District Three, so she has grown up with her mother. Because her mother is unemployed, Krystal had to get a job early, and grew up very quickly as she had to support her mother whilst her father was away, even though he earned enough money, he was payed quite rarely, so they hardly ever got any money. Krystal has always wanted to prove herself, so voulenteered for her 13 year-old cousin in the games.

Felix is funny and a real joker, he likes to cheer people up. He is very laid back and care-free, but is very against the Hunger Games and is not looking forward to going into the arena, his strategy is to just run as fast as he can when he is in trouble. Felix is gentle, kind and helpful, as well as reliable, but he likes to get his own way and can be quite stubborn. He can be quite dangerous, though, because of his size and strengt. Felix is actually quite shy around new people he has just met, but he makes friends easily and gets attached to his friends and family alot aswell, but he is a good friend and always puts other people before himself.

Felix is the oldest of his brothers and sisters, and his mother died when he was ten years-old. His father grew very sick last year, and Felix was the one who had to take over and support his family. Felix was chosen for the Hunger Games at the reaping, and his father gave him his most prized possesion, a fish necklace.

➸ Personality; Jenna is very shy. She hates the Hunger Games and doesn't believe in killing other people for the entertainment of the Capitol. Jenna will definately stand up for what she believes in. She is a very fast runner, and she can be stubborn sometimes, though she is quiet, Jenna is alot more confident around her close friends and family, and can be quite a joker, but Jenna can be very mature and serious if she has to. She'll do all she can to keep her family safe from harm, even if that means taking part in the Hunger Games. Jenna is actually very grown up for her age, she had to look after her family from a young age as her mother was pregnant with her sisters [they are twins] and her father was sick. She can sometimes be afraid to stand up for herself though, and she is never the one to make the first move.
Jenna is good at camoflauge, and she prefers to be high up in the trees. She's very talented with her bow and arrow, and because her family is poor, she trades what she finds and tryes to earn enough for her family to get by. Her father works down in the mine alot, so she hardly ever sees him, but when he is home, he is usually on his bed as working in the mines for several years has made him very ill, forcing her to be the one to earn money and get food for the family whilst her mother looks after the children. Jenna isn't that interested in boys and things that girls her age should be interested in, but it has always been a secret dream of hers to get married and have three children, a girl and two boys. She is underestimated by alot of people, but she is more dangerous than she looks.

She has always hated the Hunger Games, but Jenna has had to have tessarae as her family were too poor and she sometimes couldn't get enough food for them.
