People that weren't doing DOS mostly thought it was some kind of competition or game. Even if they read the note cards we printed out, they still didn't get it and were, in a way, making fun of us; they kept saying things like "What day is it? Oh, that's right, you can't talk! Trolololol!" and if someone felt the need to talk and stand up for themselves they would say "Oooh! You talked! You lost! Now you hate gays! Trololol!" then continued to joke about it.
Then one of my friends said that some girl that say behind her kept saying offensive things about gays (a couple months ago, she said "Gays are f------ disgusting!" so we knew she was a homophobe) so my friend asked her to stop and that her cousin is gay. Then the girl responds with "Why don't you shoot him? He's going to hell anyways!" Oh how I would love to give her a concussion...

All that hate means is that they fear us because we're different than them. In the future, this will all probably be looked back on as being really stupid, like how most people look back on slavery. And the reasons people had for wanting slavery are actually pretty similar to the reasons why homophobes hate us.

Sometimes, for some unknown reason, she says hello to me. The next time she does, this will probably be how the conversation will go:
Her: Hi
Me: I'm surprised you'd want to talk to me
Her: Why wouldn't I?
Me: Because I'm bi and according to you, "gays are f------ disgusing" and you think we should be shot.
Her: *insert some kind of homophobic slurr here*
Me: *le punches as hard as I can* That was for all of us LGBTs :)
Of course, she's going to tell people I'm bi and people will hate me, but whatever.
