For a moment, Duckpond was silent. However, the first thought he could think instantly blurted out of his mouth before he could stop it. "...You need to come up with better insults, quack." If it weren't for the fact that Flickerkit was a cute (but extremely aggressive and annoying) kitten, Duckpond was sure he would've 'accidentally' pushed her off of a high rock or something.... Okay, not really- but a cat could dream for miracles right? "But anyways," He snaps from his musings and gives the little one a rather dull stare. "You'll be getting no treatment form me with neither that attitude or word choice, kit." Duckpond says, and pauses. "...Quack." It was said as an afterthought- and it made Duckpond feel lighter. His world always seemed brighter after saying Quack.

"What do you keep saying quack for? Did you hit your head as a kit or something?" She stopped and glared at him for a very long time, but she was not stupid and needed treatment. She knew she wasnt going to win this fight, so she gave a long, heavy, loud, and overly dramatic sigh and avoided eye contact as she grumbled, "Please?"

Duckpond was silent figured this was the best he would get and nodded in affirmative. "Very good, young kit, quack. " He praised with a lighter mood. He ignored her comment on the quacking, and instead, leaned down to inspect the wound she had made. "Hmm, hmm, yes. I know just the thing." The medicine Cat makes a good assessment of the problem and leaves their presence. He was mostly dealing with a broken limb... so what he needed was some Comfrey. "...Quack, quack, quaaaack, quack, quack, quack, quaaaack...!" He entered the den and started to poke about lazily- not at all concerned about the kit. It would be one thing to have her there alone- but knowing that her mother was their made it both soothing and also pressuring for Duckpond. He didn't need to worry about her protection and could take time to find the Comfrey.

...Which was... ah! there! The cat took what was needed; happy that it was already crushed and ready to be used as salvage. He came out not a moment too soon, looking rather accomplished. "Found it, quack!" He gave a cheer and walked toward the young kit. "Now, I must warn you- this might hurt a bit..." He looked at Flickerkit, his stare asking if she was ready to be healed.

Upon spotting her apprentice the older gray she-cat walked over. A small smile spread on her face. "How are you Breezepaw?" She asked. Her apprentice was almost twelve moons, and soon enough she would be retiring. In most clans warriors became elders near the age of seventy-two moons, but in TimberClan the age was one hundred twenty moons. Forty moons left for her.

Her mentor was quite old, and Breezepaw was astounded that she still had the energy to train a young cat like her. It must be because she's an experianced warrior...

Only one had survived.

Hollowstar just shook her head and kept going. "Nothing," She said shortly and sharply. When, and if, they got back to NightClan she would have to tell Claw about their situation. Along with the patrol report. He probably wouldn't want her to fight though. That would be a pain.

Tigerstripe didn't believe her of course, but he just blinked. With a shrug, looking away from Hollowstar, he meowed smoothly, "Alright." He kept on padding. The strong stench of clancats hit his nose like a brick being thrown at him. He wrinkled his nose and growled, "Well, we've just passed the scent border. No turning back now." He quickened his pace.

Even though she could feel the doubt in his voice, Hollowstar continued on. At the border she wrinkled her nose a touch, feeling overpowered by the scent. It always made her think of RockClan, of home. Where she had truly been Hollowstar, not just Hollow. Clan cats were like a giant family, and she missed her own. A small sigh escaped her, but her expression immediately hardened into a lust for battle. Not even Drop would see that she was homesick, not now anyway.

Applesong couldn't believe how rude Flickerkit was to Duckpond. At least she finally gave in. As Duckpond went in search for herbs, Applesong watched her kit. Then, without warning, as sudden pain rose in her belly. Feeling like something just kicked her from the inside.Though she already suspected this, it was still a thrilling moment. Now she knew, for sure, that she was going to have kits! Looking down at her belly, Applesong could tell it was a bit plumper than usual. Oh, she couldn't wait to tell Spiderstar! Then she turned her gaze back to Flickerpaw. How will she react? Applesong wondered. Flickerkit has never had any siblings. Since her only littermate was stillborn. Just thinking about that day made Applesong fear the worst. What if it happens again? Will more of my kits die? These questions rose in her head.
