Faith raised her head, and opened her sharp, blue eyes. She stood slowly, stretched, then slowly trotted out of her den. She padded slowly out of the cave and sat down in the cool mud. She rolled all over in it until she looked like a wet, timber wolf.

Shadow suddenly dropped to the ground, "Look over there, near the stream, there's a doe." She whispered to Desert, moving around, closer to Desert, so that she could see it better.

Desert stayed still. "Let's use tag team. I'll frighten it, it'll run to you and you catch it." he said. He skirted around the trees, and swam across the stream. He slowly walked up and pounced, snapping at it's heels. As planned, it barreled straight into Shadow's path.

Shadow gave a small yelp of surprise when she saw the deer charging towards her, as it ran past she jumped out onto it and brough it down. She grabbed it's neck and snapped it. "Come on Desert, let's take this back to camp for breakfast." Shadow grabbed the Deer's front legs and dragged it along.

Desert nodded happily. He grabbed the deer and helped her pull it. "Nice hunting, you are really good." he said through the deer's fur.

"Thank you, oh here we are." Shadow dumped the deer and looked around for Midnight. She grabbed a deer leg and took it to the alpha den. "Midnight, you awake?" She called into the darkness.

Redleaf yawned and emerged from her new den, her shaggy coat had bits of leaves and moss stuck in it and she was still tired from yesterday, she sat bolt upright where am I? she asked herself, then remembered joining the pack and settled down again

Desert frowned. "Let Midnight sleep. Come share this deer with me." He beckoned, dragging it away from Midnight's den. "Coming? this deer wont eat itself!"

Shadow looked at the den and then nodded, "Oh alright." and then to the camp she called "anyone want some fresh deer?" Shadow smiled, picking up the deer leg and chewed it slowly, to savor every bit.

Desert smiled warmly, and lay beside her to eat. The deer was lovely and tasty, and he downed it like a starving lioness. "How is it, Shadow?" he asked, trying to strike conversation.
