haha sorry xD they told us at petsmart that they couldn't live with other fish, well we didn't have a big enough tank for more anyway but yes i think i read somewhere that they can live in a group. Also i never had a female before, always males for me! plus I just dont want to deal with them fighting with each other so i stay away from them fighting each other xD

Alright, thanks for the link. Believe me, I wouldn't ever do anything to put bettas in danger. I'll do more research before naything, as my mom still has to pay me for me to get the money needed to purchase the fish. So I still have time to change my mind if necessary^^

I've had fish before, and bettas, too. Just not females. Thanks for the help! And you're right keeping them in tiny containers IS stupid.

Looks like I have a floaty bloaty peralscale on my hands. Time for some Epsom salt, I guess.

Squished up peas will help as well. Dont feed for a day or two and give him/her the peas. Any peas will work canned or frozen. If frozen just boil them and remove the shells. If its just constipation making him/her float then the peas will help clear her out. Also no salted peas.

Thanks again, and I read about the sorority^^. I may wait until I get a larger tank, as it said the more bettas in the sorority, the less chance of mishap, and the very max for bettas in a ten gallon is seven. Yeah, I may wait.

My half moon betta Kaiden used to have the prettiest fins but lately his fins have been really crinkly and they hang down but he is still healthy. I started using fin rot mess today, but does this sound like fin rot or something else? Or is he just aging (but he is only 1)

As in crinkly do you mean torn? If you could take a picture of his fins and post it here it would help us.

I would but my iPad doesn't let me they seem like tinkled and the tips a bit....frayed like? It looks like....ok you know like plastic that you can stick your finger in real hard and then it leaves this print where it's wrinkled and pushed in? (I know weird example but that's the first thing I though of) they look all draped like someone stretched them out

maybe if you find a picture close to what your betta's fins look like it would give us a better way of figuring out what is wrong
