Its so you dont go out the lines
what you do is make a new layer colour in the dog body with out extra parts e.g ears and tail with that layer
Then you get another layer for each extra part and call it e.g couler ears 2 or colour tail 3
then you do a new layer for the paws colar
And the eyes and ears colour
