Laying there, eyes closed and heart beating like any normal person's would, Liz found herself wanting to live. Not just live to live, but to live for her. To do wild and stupid things, to make people laugh or mad. To get a thrill out of this life while she was alive and well. She wanted to be her own person, make her own choices and not follow rules. To go on adventures just for the fun of finding something new, to go out into the world and see it for what it is with her own eyes. She wanted to live her own life. With those thought inplanted into her brain, Elizabeth dragged her eyes open slowly and stared up at the sky again. Things would be her own choice from now own, not just whatever someone wanted her to do. If she wanted to run off to be by herself, then so be. If they tried to stop her she would still run.
She stored the pain in the back of her mind as she climbed to her feet. Everything was still ever so sore, but for the moment she was able to think over the pain. She show them, she could help herself. The guy's voice washed over her senses, so she started towards him. Her mind was in high-alert, picking up every little sound of the forest. As she stumbled around thick tree trunks and bushy green plants, she only had to keep telling herself one thing. That one thing was this; That she was her own person and no one could change that. They may be able to hurt her, wound her pride, but she would still be her own person. Her own mind, her own body, her own heart-beat. Nothing could change that.
After a little while she stopped russling through the leaves on the ground and listened. She had to be quiet in order to hear it, but there it was. A faint sound, the softest thing ever, but it was there. Her ears were picking up the heart-beat of something or someone. It was almost odd to hear the sound, considering she had never heard someone elses rythmic beat of their heart, but she guessed maybe it was because of her power. "Hello? Uh- I heard you calling earlier, are you alright?" Liz spoke in the direction that the sound was coming from, hoping that the man wasn't slowly dying or something. That would just be terrible. Her own pains were coming back, but she shoved them deeper into her mind and strode forward again. "I'm trying to find you, so just stay were you are, don't try to come to me." She wasn't even sure if he would want to come to her, but she didn't want him moving around if he was hurt. His voice earlier had sounded like he was hurt, so just to be on the safe side she followed the sound her ear's were picking up. Turn around a tree, duck under a fallen branch, crawl through a large bush and trudge through tall patches of grass, she did it all because she wanted to help whoever was looking for help. A few tears pricked at her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away and kept walking.
