Katrina let her eyes wander from their faces to the girl's hands, which were dancing around balls of flame. Katrina corrected the path of her vision, and kept up the act. "So, I haven't really met you guys before," she twittered breezily. "I'm Katrina, by the way." She said, careful not to disclose information about her ability.

Dakota looked up at her, a smile formed on her lips. She didn't have to ask, her thoughts were screaming at her. But she decided not to say anything, she liked her already. Dakota returned to her ball of fire.

Smoke smiled, "Im Smoke, she's Dakota." he said. His eyes dancing with joy, he felt like he could talk to this one, she was different from the others.

Again, Ky caught it easily, and set it on fire again, throwing it back, "You don't have to worry about the fire burning you or the ball, i can control it so that it won't burn the ball."

i know i just wanted to see what would happened if water touched you she laughs and holds the ball hey do you want to go get some food im kinda hungry she said

Katrina watched Smoke through less discerning eyes, letting herself soften for half of a second, but she quickly corrected herself and allowed the walls to form around her once again. She couldn't let her guard down- not yet. "Smoke, and Dakota- nice to meet you both." And it was not a lie- she didn't want to go crazy, and some interaction with other humans that did not involve her messing with their subconsciences was more than healthy for her socially-deprived mind.

Smoke smiled, "Nice to meet you too." he said, then threw a small ball of water at Dakotas fire. It formed itself around the fire, but didn't put it out.

Dakota nodded, "Nice to meet you too, mind if I call you Kate?" she said as more of a whisper. She was still concentrating on the fire, angry at her brother for throwing water at it. She shrugged, and made the flame disappear. She looked around, not feeling quite so safe.
