Dullwhisper looks at Nightsoul,longing and regret flashed in her eyes but was blinked away very quickly."Hi Sapkit,you want t come with me?I'm reporting to Flarestar."She offers with a kind hearted smile.

"yes please!" I say with a huge smile, I look over at Nightsoul then quickly turn back to Dullwhisper

I pad over to the warrior den and then sigh, I need a rest I think to myself.

Dullwhisper smiles then beckons the kit with a flick of unusuall long tail.She bounds up the rocks that led to a ledge and the leader's den."Flarestar?"She calls.

"Hello?" I say looking around

I lay my head on my paws, my tail curls around my paws and I start to sleep

Blazingkit shakes his head and bounces on his paws excitedly."No!Please,please show me Jaypaw!Please oh please!"He mews.

Wolfpaw groans slightly but doesn't move,she slows her breathing so it looked like she wasn't,she makes sure to tilt her head awkwardly but in a way so it didn't hurt her neck.

"Are you okay?" Sunpaw gasped, jumping back.

"Well then, I'll show you! But first, what do you know about birds." Jaypaw knew it was obvious, but it helped for battle training...

Flarestar jawned. "Come in!"

Dullwhisper walksin with Sapkit."Sapkit wanted to see what deputies and warriors do when they report to their leader."She explains to Flarestar then turns serious."The border was safe except for a loner that killed a rabbit,but it was two days ago from the smell and look of things,should I take a few warriors and track the loner down and warn him to stay off our territory?"

Blazingkit tilted his head,thinking,he flicks his tailtip."Birds are fast,they can fly.But a weakness is their detirmination to get their prey before flying away.But that is mostly with birds of prey,not song birds."


Wolfpaw didn't move a muscle.

"Good. And don't forget they can hear aswell, even though you can't see their ears."

Flarestar nodded. "Tell the patrols to keep a look out. If he comes again we'll take it more seriously."


"Wolfpaw?"

Dullwhisper nods in agreement then tilts her head."One more thing...Who is going to mentor Jaypaw?"She asks.

Blazingkit nods eagerly."So,you want to come at them from behind,because their eyesight is amazing too right?"He asks,hoping he was right.

Wolfpaw's front right paw twitches then she holds her breath.

Flarestar stiffened. "You've been around Nightsoul a lot lately. Do you think she's up for it?"

"Right. So you want as much cover as you can get. Always be sure to have a plan b, though. Make sure you can move around, aswell. She flattened herself to the floor, her tail upward, though twisted and beant like a twig. She moved from side to side in a round circle before leaping, imaging the bird fluttering past her paws. She leaped again, clutching the air before landing in a roll.

"Wolfpaw?" Sunpaw nosed her again. "Wolfpaw?!"

Blazingkit crouches,his tail weavig like a snake behind him.He narrows his eyes on a small stone about two fox lengths away,he circles it with his eyes locked on his,suddenly he darts forward,spring right up and landing on it."How was that?"

Dullwhisper is silent for a moment."Nightsoul?Mentor Jaypaw?I suppose it could work...But I'd worry about Nightsoul's down and snappy attitude,I would hate for Jawpaw to loose her enthusiasm.However it might work,maybe Jaypaw could cheer the grumpy ol' tom up a bit."

Wolfpaw doesn't move at all.
