Mine slowly looked back at Xahlie, laying the food basket in the back of the cave as he looked at the other foal; Cider. He motioned for him to go back next to the other one and flicked his tail lightly.

Mako was able to hear the river before he was able to see it. He lifted his head a bit higher, ears perked. He moved more quickly towards the body of moving water.

Xahlie nuzzled Cider softly. "I'll be back." She nickered quietly, softly pulling on the colt's mane to pull away dirt. She stood up again, and moved into the cave, looking back at her sleeping brother; tears stinging as she nuzzled him, pulling a bit of dirt out of his mane as well. Then she turned, and moved to just outside of the cave. She looked at Mine; flicked her ears back lightly. "Don't let anyone near them. And if you can, try to get them to working on standing again. After they've had a rest." She said to him. She reached up to gently pull on his ear before moving into a gallop; back towards the ash-lands.

He followed Mako, silently watchful.

Mako let out a soft sigh as he saw the river ahead of them. Only a bit more and he could drink the cool water before them.

Rain lifted her head thinkin she heard horses but lowered it again to drink.

Cinder collapsed when he tried to stand, he couldn't even manage a whinny.

"Okay." Mine said, watching her and then looking at the foals. He watched Cider collapse. "Dont try to stand..rest." He whispered.

He remained silently, nudging Mako ahead.

Rain looked up every so often but mostly kept her sky blue eyes on the water. What made me so thirsty? she wondered.

Cider nodded and just laid where he was.

Mako pushed himself to go faster, and his eyes got a bit brighter as they approached the river.
