Marico - brown in Italian
G e n d e r:
Male
Marico is a shy Dox Dragon, but when he gets to know people, he can really be fun and outgoing. His favorite food is Reese's Peanut butter cups.He is very modest, and will always take the blame for something. He is fairly introverted, generally preferring to interact with a few close friends rather than a large group. This is why he is only best friends with his brothers and sisters. Introverts tend to be reserved and quiet, and less involved in social interaction than the more outgoing extroverts. While extroverts tend to feel lonely and withdrawn when denied the company of others, introverts relish time alone. They tend to deal with problems on their own rather than seeking out advice from others. Introverts also tend to have a more active imagination and complex inner world. He always likes to prove other Dox Dragons wrong, but doesn't like to offend them in any way, but sometimes he does.
Marico, is like his mother, and will not grow a tail. He does not yet know that, and thinks his tail will grow in, like his father.
What will you do with him?:
I will give him a nice little place on my charrie thread, write him a story, put him in some art, and breed him when he is older.
Story/History:
I shifted in the nest, drinking in the warmth of my mother. I heard her murmuring to my father, "How come all the other pups opened their eyes, and he hasn't?" She said, no mistake of worry in her voice. "Fate, it is nothing we can control." My father murmured calmly. "But what if they never open?" Mother said, still with worry in her voice. I figured they were talking about me, and I don't like for one minute that they are worried about me. I am fine, aren't I? But I love this world of warmth and comfort...I will have to prove to them I am ok...I blinked open my eyes, but squeezed them shut after, for the light was to much. "Oh, look! Crumble, you were right! Look at him, he is opening his eyes!" Mother exclaimed. I opened them once more, squinting while I got used to the cold, white light. "He has such beautiful brown eyes...." Father said. Mother called the other pups over, and said "This is your new brother. I shall name him for his eyes, they are brown, and he will be named, Marico!" The other pups, knowing the world longer, knew how to speak, and started quietly chanting my name, Marico.

"Hey, Marico, why haven't your tail feathers grown yet?" Asked one of my brothers. "I-I don't know....." I answered, looking at the ground. "Don't ask such a hurtful question. It is probably because he just opened his eyes later than you." Father said, looking at him, then he turned to me. "I promise you will get your feathers soon," he said, eyes sparkling with sympathy. I ran off to play with the pups, and we chased each-other around for a while, until I got tired. I sat down under a nearby Willow tree, and watched the shadows dance, playing tricks on my eyes, and lulling me to sleep.

"Mother, I hope I am not bothering you, but, um, do you maybe know, um, why my tail feathers, um, haven't come in yet?" I asked. "No, I don't sweetie, but they will soon enough. Go play with the others" My mother replied. "But, that is just the thing, I can't play with them, they now have new friends, and they all make fun of me for not having tail feathers..." I whined. " Oh, honey, they will grow in." She said, but with a hint of worry in her voice. "I hope..." She added. "What was that?" I said. "Oh, nothing dear...." She replied. I just decided to sleep next to her, and dream, of my tail feathers.
