"Im not lying. Well, except for the pretty part. Your more.... handsome, cute... hot, whatever you want to call it." She winked, giving him a small smile. Sometimes Layla's feelings about Austin sparked, and it was on again off again but she was starting to like him more and more.

He smiled with a small laugh. He began to blush. Darnit! he thought. He acted like he was wiping his eyes to cover his cheeks. He had managed to hide his feelings for her for a couple years now but it got really hard sometimes.

"How long have you had Whiskers now?" She asked, just curious. "And why does he like me so much?" She smiled, picking him up gently.

He smiled and thought "About 2 months now." he lived Whiskers. Whiskers was the runt and he had something wrong with him that made him stay that small. Why wouldn't he like you? he thought. Your amazing. Your beautiful. Your funny. Smart and just all around perfect. "I don't know. Maybe because you always pet him." he said with a shrug and a small laugh.

Layla shrugged. "Maybe." She thought.

"Want to go do something?" he asked smiling.

"Sure." She smiled, standing up and handing whiskers to him. "What did you have in mind?"

He smiled at her taking Whiskers from her nd began petting him. He shrugged "The mall?" he said suggestively.

"Ooh! Yeah lets go there." She grabbed her bag and put it over her shoulder. "Did you bring your car? I just walked. Its ok if you didnt though."

[sameantha]

"No but if you want we could walk back to my house an get it?" he said with a smile. He didn't care wether they walked or drove.
