Brambletail walked out of nest. Padding to the fresh-kill pile, he yawned and stretched. He glanced over to Forestheart and smiled.

Spottedmask finished cleaning her pelt and stood up, deciding to be at least somewhat useful seance she hadn't gone on dawn patrol. She streached out her legs and padded out of camp to go hunting.

Forestheart spotted Brambletail and smiled back, happy to see her mate this morning. She picked up her sparrow and trotted over to him, wanting to tell him the news.

Falconpaw, now aware he was allowed to eat in the mornings, went to the fresh kill pile and picked a small, modest robin and sat down, beginning to eat it.

Brambletail scooted over to make room for Forestheart. He took a bite into his mouse. "So, how are you doing this morning?" he asked with a smile.

[foxes.]

"I'm doing great, thanks :3 I'm moving to the nursery today, my quarter moon's up. I'll talk to Darkstar later, see who can mentor Falconpaw. But enough about me, how are you doing today?" She took a bite of her sparrow.

Brambletail shrugged. "Nothing too exciting. Just organizing patrols as usual." He galnced at her. "Are you still okay with going on patrols, or should I just not have you do them? Nah, I just won't make you do them." He winked at her.

[foxes.]

"No, really, it's..." she trailed off, seeing his wink. Forestheart flicked her tail and took another bite of her sparrow, savoring its taste.

Brambltail rubbed his head under Forestheart's chin. "I just don't want anything to happen to you," he whispered.

[Shezza.]

Darkstar licked her paw and drew it over her face. Her ears perked.

"Aw, you don't have to. I'm as worried about you as you are about me. You've been going on much more patrols lately." she paused and licked Brambletail's ear. "I guess we've had our fair share of close calls, eh?"
