Spiderstar emerged from his den and stretched in the light of dawn. The morning mist tickled his nose and he flicked his whiskers, looking around and admiring the brave, colorful flowers growing on the land so many cats had died on. He paused and his mind went quiet. No one else seemed to be awake, but he could hardly hold still. He made his way to the apprentice den, sticking his head inside. "Flamepaw, wake up. Lets go on a hunting patrol." When he saw the apprentice stir, he ducked back out and walked over to the warriors den. "Littlehawk, Frozenheart," he hissed quietly into the den. "Wake up; hunting patrol. And Duststorm, could you take care of the rest of the patrols for today?" He knew they could hear him; they never let him down before. Usually he did not ask his deputy to do something so obvious, but being the curand sat by the fresh kill pile, smoothing out some tufts of fur as he waited for his patrol to arrive.

Spiderstar pricked his ears and turned to her. "And good morning to you, Frozenheart." He glanced around for the other warrior that was supposed to be joining them. "If Littlehawk does not wake up in a little while, will you go pick someone else to come?" He asked. If this indeed did happened, he felt Duststorm would know well enough to put Littlehawk on at least two patrols that day.

F l a m e p a w
The tabby tom quickly slipped out of the apprentices' den, knowing full well he was running late. Scolding himself silently in his head, Flamepaw raced over to his mentor, Spiderstar, dipping his head hastily.
"Sorry I'm late, Spiderstar. Your voice was in my dream and it took me a few minutes to shake it off." The proof of this was his fur, still sticking up everywhere; he literally looked like he had been dragged backwards out of one of the walls of the den.

D u s t s t o r m
The calico was sitting up in her nest, working her pink tongue over her fur, cleaning it and making sure it lay flat. It was important to look good, even if the fur could be ruined my the day to day duties of living in a Clan.
Pricking her ears at the sound of Spiderstar's voice, she stood delicately and padded outside just in time to see her son rush out. Rolling her eyes and letting out a mrrow of amusement, she walked over, tail held high, and began to groom her son. Pausing, she glanced at Spiderstar.
"I'll sort them out, don't worry. It just seems my son has forgotten how to take care of himself." He was wriggling under her, trying to escape.

B r e e z e p a w
The strangely pale apprentice watched her mother and brother from her position in the small shadows of the apprentices' den; she had been awake at the crack of dawn and had let her brother sleep a little longer; he had been out late the night before, hunting on his own.
Watching the struggle, she let out a chime-like laugh.
"The sooner you stop, Flamepaw, the sooner it'll be over!" She called, knowing just how much he hated being clean.

Moonshade sighed, trying to shake the horrifying thoughts of her clan dying out of her mind. She stood, still trembling a little and trotted out of camp without eating anything. She ran into the forest, trying to clear her head. Her dark tabby pelt flashed in and out the trees as she shot away. Her paws flew across the ground; running always made her feel a little better. She slowed at the sight of water weaving through the forest. The stream. She skidded to a stop at the shore and walked a normal pace, panting, along the waterline. Her head hung now for she was still thinking of that day so many years ago.

-Robintail-

Robintail looked up when another cat bounded over to the fresh kill pile. Robintail again nodded quietly as a hello before grabbing the small vole in her mother and trekking all the way across the clearing to eat. Although Robintail was a relatively friendly cat, she had a hard time holding company with most cats. Many times her outward conversations turned awkwardly very quickly when Robintail did not mean to make it so. Her nimble limbs sat her down gracefully and she precariously began to nimble a bit of the vole. Robintail was a small warrior so she often chose small prey like this. She remembered that once she had been told that if a cat eats too much than it could effect their performance. Pulling her thin smooth tail around her, Robintail began to relax as she knew the day was probably full of tasks for her to do. She would offer later to join a hunting patrol of course. Being as lithe as Robintail was made one an excellent hunter. Robintail glanced longingly over towards the elders den. A young cat like Robintail had an unusual amount of friends in the elders den. Her mother and father both resided there as well as Robintail's old mentor, the notoriously cranky Bumbleflight. Early in her apprenticeship, Bumbleflight chastised her for her silent and precarious behaviors. Later on, when Bumbleflight discovered how bright the upcoming warrior was, she grew to like and respect Robintail. Even in Bumbleflight's aging years she was still as sharp as a tack. Often times she and Robintail were sitting close by each other talking.

-Jaystripe-

A sudden coldness, if either from a breeze or lack of something Jaystripe did not know. The coldness made him grimace lightly as he pulled himself into a more compact form. It was to no avail though, he was already awake now. The tom's icy blue eyes opened up and showed him the wall ending the warriors' den. As they adjusted to the morning light, he noticed the cause of his suddenly awakening was the absence of warmth from his sister's pelt. The tom knew the smaller she-cat had most likely already awoken and run off to start the day. Jaystripe, who was a huge tom, stood up high over almost every other cats' heads. He shook his pelt a bit to loosen and release all dust and dew that had collected on his pelt over night. While Robintail seemed to always keep her pelt nice to a point, Jaystripe only held little maintenance to his fur since his was darker. One could not see he was dirty on fur like his. Jaystripe supposed he two should get ready to start his day. He took a little more time and care when walking around his sleeping clan mates, hoping his large paws did not step on one of their slumbering forms. The light outside the den was harsh at first, but it soon became the norm for him and he could look around the clearing. He saw the patrols organizing over by the entrance and fresh kill pile. More specifically Jaystripe thought he saw Frozenheart and Spiderstar at the fresh kill pile. He saw Robintail select a vole and then leave to party to eat. Jaystripe sometimes felt bad for his sister. She was horrible at trying to socialize with most members of the clan. Her snarky wit seems to be her curse for some reason along those lines. Jaystripe was hungry, but he would not eat just yet. While small cats like Robintail needed food to keep their energy up, bigger cats like Jaystripe could hold their energy longer. He would never eat until every other cat has had his or her fill. Jaystripe padded to and opening off to the side of the clearing the stretch the sleep off his form so he may be more awake.

The pure white she-cat listened attentively to Spiderstar's words and nodded. "Thank you. And I will, rest assured." She pricked her ears, on the lookout for Littlehawk. Frozenheart's amber eyes searched the clearing, looking for the familiar black pelt and blue eyes of the tom. Her tail twitched, amber eyes un-blinking.[/color][/b]
