Name :
Annika
Age :
Young adult-ish, what you would consider 16 in human years
Gender :
Female
Personality :
Annika is very sweet, kind, caring, and a bit shy around others.
She will never purposely hurt and living thing, or their feelings. She almost never looses her temper. Pretty much the only thing that really makes her angry is when nature is harmed. She feels a special connection to plants and nature, and she treats it just as she would her friends.
When she feels down or stressed, she always goes to the river. Something about the sound of the rushing water and the cold droplets on her fur makes the stress and tension melt away, into the river, and then gets carried away in the soft current.
Another thing Annika loves to do is listen to music. Not rock or techno or pop, exactly, more soft music and love songs. Her favorite artists are probably Jason Maraz and Taylor Swift. Her favorite songs are I'm Yours and Stay Beautiful.
Annika Is a very laid-back JBD who doesn't get frustraited easily. Though not everything goes her way, she doesn't have a fit or tantrum, but simply see where the new road takes her- Maybe a new experiece even better than the last one. She also likes to take risks and see what comes of it.
Annika is shy around most people, and doesn't really talk too much. She isn't too social, and finds it easier to talk to people through something other than face-to-face. She doesn't start convorsations well, and usually lets others do the talking. Though, If you win her heart and trust, she can be the best, most talkative friend you could ever had.
History :
The wind brushed softly past my fur, and I took a deep breath. It was a beautiful day; The sun was shining bright on everything I could see, warming the rocks and air around me. A slight breeze every once in a while kept the few clouds moving, and to keep me from getting to hot. The grass was green and lush, the plants were blooming. Yet, I was nowhere near to calm serenity under the oak tree. Today had not been my day.
I decided to go for a walk. I strolled everywhere, path or not. The birds were singing a lovely spring tune, and the animals of the woods each dded their own induvidual part. The squirrel chattered a bit, a young bear cub addad a small roar that sounded much more like a coo, and even old Mr.Toad croaked one sour note. Then I realized my feet had carried me to the middle of the small forest, where some other JellyBean Dragons had made their dens. "Maybe I can make some new friends here, if they decide to come out." I thought, my eyes wandering the dens. Then, a few boys came out together, just a little older than me. Up until this, my day had been perfect.
The boys came closer to me. "Um, hello," I mumbled shyly, taking a few steps back. My eyes darted to each one's eyes. They were all glaring at me. What did they want? One smirked and called me a name. The words stung me, much more than a bee sting. Then another one called me another word. This hurt more than the last. Soon enough, they were all chanting different bad names at me, until finnally, one stuck out it's paw and pushed me down.
My head hit the ground hard. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to bear the pain. The boys laughed, and ran back to their dens, pushing aand shoving eachother. All except for one. He stood there for a moment, staring. I opened my eye at him, and he stuck out a paw. I just looked at it for a moment, then took it as he helped me up. Right as I was on my feet, he silently ran into the den. Before he disappeared, he stuck his head out to look at me. Then he turned away.
So, here I am now.
My head still hurts a little. But I had some ice on it, I think I'll be ok. But it isn't the ice that's doing it for me.
It's the river.
I'm sitting here, by the river, letting my paws float on the bank. The water isn't cold, but it isn't warm either. It's the perfect tempature to carry my stress away. There's small, pale pink flower in front of me. I can't help but envy the flower. It seems so carefree, just blowing along with the wind. I don't think anybody has ever called this flower a bad name. I remember one time, somebody told me about a science experiment they did. They had a tomato plant. They set the pot in the sun and gave it water everyday, and it grew straight up. Then, after a while, they lay the pot on it's side. After a while, the plant began to grow up again, while the pot was still laying down. Maybe this is what I had to do. If
somebody lay my pot on it's side, I'd just grow right back up towards the sun. Or maybe this would make more sense- If somebody pushes me around and down, I'd just have to get right back up.
Theme Song :
Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah
Favorite Dessert :
Annika's Favorite dessert is most likely a nice cold mango strawberry smoothie, especially in the Summertime. But she really does love a hot hazelnut hot cocoa on a cold day.
