I leap from the tree, suspicious. A few minutes ago the air was a cool crisp breeze, now it hung in the air oddly, like it would a forest fire. I tensed, then I saw it, It licked the trees, and in reply the trees stayed with burnt trunks. The licking, rough fire, although small, was heading towards us. " GET DOWN CANDY!" I yell, Trying to keep my cool even thought that didn't last long.

Candy was shocked by her loud voice and fell off the tree. "Why?"

"Forest fire!" Citrus yelped and picked Candy up by his scruff, running.

Candy flattened his ears as he was being dragged across the floor, he was a big JBD.

Citrus let him go in frustration as she could tell he was annoyed. "Then run, you fat lump of fur! Don't let yourself be burnt!" She howled over the flames, and ducked behind a tree trunk that hadn't been scorched as a spark flew past her ear.

Candy rolled his eyes and growled at her. "Well GOSH! Your in a mood, huh?" He padded back to Cloud. "Hurry, Cloud!"

Citrus narrowed her eyes. She wanted to keep this JBD alive, but he was acting as if they had all the time in the world to run and he was goofing off. If he wants to die so desperately, so be it. But I'm running. And she darted past them away from the fast-growing fire.

Candy looked at Cloud.

I ran, I was right behind. " Im fine " I say, although tinges of fear rack my speech. The flames rose lower now, but they were still a threat. " Just go faster!" I say As I notice Candy staring at me. Now was no time to lag.

Citrus turned to see the two running faster now, and encouraged them with a flick of her tail. Another oak tree birst into flames nearby Citrus.
