((I'm so sorry for the delay in my post; I have been swamped with lots of stuff lately... DX
And yes, thanks Ampharos. :3))
Sprite kept her eyes catiously trained on Vaughn. She wasn't in a hurry to start any sort of fight or arguement; especially since she and Tarrin were quite outnumbered. However, when the other dog returned her greeting with a snarl, she felt a strong tug of annoyance. With a simple, "Hm," Sprite let Vaughn walk around she and her packmate to the edge of the pond. She sighed slightly. "Why must you be so hostile?" she questioned under her breath, but still loud enough for Vaughn to hear. She wouldn't allow her back to be turned to the rival pack's leader, so she turned to face him once more, keeping her ground and refusing to be scared away, all the while trying to remain pleasant. With a flick of her ear, Sprite heard a bark, and turned to see who it had come from. "Hello there," the saluki replied, welcoming Hazel with a friendly wag of her tail. She didn't appear tense at all, quite unlike the Dusk pack members.

{{No problem about the delay. :3}}
Hazel lowered her head a bit, but heard the kindness in the dog's voice. She lifted it back up. "Why, hello, there," she said, smiling a bit. "I'm quite sorry if I'm interrupting anything. The dang catcher was chasing after me, and I wasn't sure where else to come," Hazel said, innocently. 'And I was thirsty as heck... But I don't want to say anything that might offend them,' she thought.
"So what is everybody doing on this fine day?" she asked, smiling and tilting her head.

Tarrin kept his eyes trained on Vaughn, he would not let the hostile leader out of his sight for a moment if at all possible. His own leader was too important to lose and he knew he would fight to the death if it came down to a real fight. He couldn't tell if it would or not, but in all honesty, he really hoped it wouldn't.

Hazel could hear the silences, and she knew that Vaughn was there. Everyone was always frightened of him, she could tell they were always staring. She didn't seem to mind him, though, because if it ever came down to a last resort, a Pitbull versus a Doberman wasn't a two second win. She smirked to herself, putting her head near the ground. Underestimation was one thing to never do, and it often happened with her. Yeah, she's got some cuts and a limp, but she's one good warrior. She once wanted to be a police dog, but she stopped trusting the humans. 'Ehh, whatever..' Hazel thought. 'We've not fought in a while, our packs. Doesn't seem to be anything to worry about here. I just hope he doesn't find it offensive that I came today,' she thought. Hazel usually stayed at the junkyard, but had that one incident today. "So how are y'all today?" Hazel asked Saluki again. She started to wag her tail and pant, her tongue hanging over the side of her mouth.

Hazel lifted her head up, growling and barking, then taking small drinks, keeping her ears perked. 'Stupid jerk, doesn't know anything..' she thought. She shook her neck, then went down to her tail. The feel of the sun on her fur felt nice.

Sprite felt a growl rise up in her throat, but she choked it back down. She wouldn't get them into a fight today. It had been quite a long time since they all had a fight, and she wouldn't ruin the peace over something so trivial. "What's importaint to you, Vaughn?" she asked thoughtfully, with seriousness in her voice. A stupid drink of water? The saluki huffed, and without another word stalked around Vaugn and away from the pond. She hadn't given up, hadn't back off, hadn't been scared away; she simply wasn't going to stupidly get herself or her friends injured. Sprite gave a thankful glance to her packmates at their willingness to help, and felt a little sorry for getting them involved. But such a thing filled her heart with pride in the Dawn members. Feeling a little better, the leader walked over to Hazel, giving her a friendly smile. "Sorry about that..." she murmured apologetically. She hadn't meant to ignore the newcomer.

((Yaay! It's not dead! ^^))
Hazel lifted her head and smiled. "No worries, I'm used to being alone. ...That's not meant in any mean way. Just sayin'." Hazel gave a wink to Sprite. "So.. What do you guys usually do? Play games?talk? Just hang out? I'm pretty phsyced to finally being with a pack. Holding on your own can be pretty hard. Especially when.. Uhh, nevermind." Hazel flinched uncomfortably, remembering not to mention her blindness. That'd make her an easy target. "Uhm.. So, it seems like they've got younger dog catchers these days. They're actually a challenge to get away from. So what's up?" she asked, speaking the words nervously.

Tarrin followed after his leader, watching Hazel in silence. He felt that there was something a bit different about her, but he didn't say anything. Instead, he tried to figure out what was different. After a few seconds he noticed the milkyness in her eyes and understood. She was blind. Nodding, he smiled but didn't mention it. He wouldn't want to make her uncomfortable.

Hazel barked playfully, and wagged her tail. It had been a while since she had played in the park. Then her ears perked worriedly, as she heard a familiar engine. A frown appeared on her face as a familiar voice was released: "There ya are, pretty girl." The dog catcher slowly got out of his car, and he slowly stepped towards her and the rest of the dogs. She did the sane, approaching him and gaining distance from the other dogs. She didn't want them involved.
As soon as he was close enough, the man thrust his tool towards Hazel, with her jumping to the side. She quickly darted passed his feet, as he tried to keep up with her. "Darned mutt! Kid! Get these other ones! I got pretty girl over here." Hazel turned her head back to he man, as a young man stepped out of the van. 'Since when is there two?!' she wondered to herself, darting to the young man as he approached the pack. She leaped up on him, knocking him to the ground. "Run, you guys!" she said, standing on the boy. He thrust Hazel off of him, and she fell on her side. As she stood up, the older man got his tool around her neck. "Alright, I got 'er. Now go get the rest!" he said, carrying Hazel to the van by his tool around her neck.
