"Thanks," Smokesky panted. She walked along the river letting the water lap at her paws.

Thunderbolt smelled the air

"I smell kittypet but its stale"

He went to the waters edge looking down at the fish


"I always wondered what fish taste like, they look so fat a juicy" He said licking his lips


"Oh well, Only Riverclan knows how to catch fish" said Thunderbolt putting his nose down into the water but he leaned to far over and fell in

SPLASH

"STARCLAN HELP ME" he yelled "Help me Smokesky, I can't swim!" He mewed helplessly

Smokesky jumped in her paws moved seamlessly through the water. She grabbed his scruff and pulled him to the bank. Pushing him up on the bank she hopped up after him.
"You ok?" she asked the water absorbed into her soft pelt. She shook the water off her pelt.

"I'm fine" he shot back his pelt was hot from embarrassment

He shook the water from this pelt and gave himself a few power licks


"Th... Th...Thank you Smokesky...You saved my life" purring he went over to Smokesky and rub his muzzle against hers

"It's nothing, anybody else would do it," She smiled as his muzzled rubbed her. It calmed her.
'But how did i swim?' she wondered.

Rippleriver raced towards the river. She wandered out through the ferns but found no cat drowning. She looked at the cats across the bank.
"Are you all ok?" Her eyes fell upon the light grey cat, her heart pounded.
'It can't be,' she though. She made her way to the river edge.

"Riverclan" Hissed Thunderbolt

"Were ok Rippleriver, I fell in but Smokesky here saved me" he purred looking sweetly at her

Rippleriver smiled.
"Good, I was hoping I wouldn't have to save anyone," She smiled sweetly at Smokesky before disappearing into the ferns.

Smokesky looked back at Thunderbolt, "Who was that?" She asked, "I haven't seen her at any gatherings,"

"Thats Rippleriver, she's kinda a shy cat" Thunderbolt replied


"I'm sorry, most cats do know how to swim a little, but I never could get the hang of it" "I almost drowned when I was a kit too, me and my brother Icekit was playing and he pushed me in, lucky for me mother was there to pull me out" he mewed

"But, Your a Great swimmer!" "You just slid through the water...like...a fish!" he purred
