Once at camp, Rainleaf put the catmint in a meager pile of other catmint.

Springkit put the catmint down where Ranleaf put hers. "Being a medicine cat must be cool!" She mewed, eyes sparkling.

"well, if there isn't any patients then there isn't much to do. But it is an important job where you can be honored in the clan without being a warriror." she mewed to Springkit.

"Woah!" Springkit purred "I wanna be a medicine cat!" she jumped up and down excitedly.

"Well you could" she said

Wildpaw shook her rear, waiting to jump on the prey.

FurzeWhip turned watching the apprentice. He sat down roughly on the forest floor

"Really?" Springkit squeaked.

She jumped and cought the blackbird, her first catch. She ploped it down in front of Furzewhip and purred.

"Maybe," Rainpaw mewed
