Do rituals and that sort of thing at night time after everyone has gone to bed and during the day when everyone's gone. That's my advice. I'm sure the others have other tips for you too. Welcome to the group btw.

Ripcooper: Try making your altar in a shoebox that you can stash under your bed or desk easily. You can also use your shoebox to keep herbs or other important things that would be akward to have out in the open.

Oh, that's a good idea, quazza. I may not be able to do that now since my mother is nosey, but that will definitely be useful if I have a roommate in college that isn't too keen on my ideas.
By the way, how is your friend doing?
