bryony shook with anticipation as she walked over to the square and waited to sign in

otac stood in the boys section and drew a sword in the air

Surge stood in his place in the boys section His older brother Kye standing next to him holding his head high. Surge copied his brothers posture. He wiped his sweaty palms on the side of his jeans and fought to keep still forcing himself to focus on the stage ahead. His blue- green eyes narrowed against the blistering hot bright sun beating down upon them. His hair ruffling slightly as a slight breeze brushed against it. Suddenly the silence that hung in the humid air from everyone in district 5 holding their breath was shattered as the capital representative tapped the microphone in a testing manor creating an unpleasant "THUD THUD" sound making the anxious audience flinch. Elaine (our representative) smiled at us sympathetically and apologized her high voice vibrating in the still atmosphere. She cleared her voice and started with the same usual line always said during the reapings "Happy Hunger Games Everyone!" she chimes "May the odds be ever in your favor. Now let's start with the ladies shall we..."

Bryony shivered as she stood beside her best friend in the girls section. They clutched each others hands tightly as Serena (representative) spoke up. "welcome to the 36th annual hunger games and may the odds be ever in your favor"
Bryony tried to calm herself but she was to nervous
"now for the girls" Serena shuffled over to the large reaping bowl and plucked a single name out of the jar.she scurried back over to the mic and opened the slip "Bryony Trails!"
Bryony heard her name and her heart stopped. slowly she walked up to the stage, still trying to wipe away shock on her face.
"welcome dearie" Serena greeted her
