Oh god, this 8 year old girl comes to my house to play with my sis and she saw my poster of the hunger games and this was our conversation:

Her: I wanna see that movie!
Me: oh yah, what's it called?
Her: somethin games?
Me: The Hunger Games. Do you know what it's about?
Her: Yah, these people gointo a game and kick butt!
Me: it's about kids killing kids and it's rated PG-13
Her: *walks away*

My friend had the first book for a week and I finished it while she read until JUST before the Games started. My HG friends then stared her down [humorously] and called her an Avox for a day or two. But she was alright, it was just for fun, no one was hurt in any way.

Am I the only one who got really ticked when they put Seneca Crane in the room with the nightlock? (I almost called them deathberries--oops.) I was sitting in the theater, thinking, "He's hanged, not forced to eat nightlock!" At least, I assume that's what happened, you know, he's locked in there and starved and is finally forced to eat the berries out of pure starvation?

I actually thought they did kinda good on that, cuz you know... It never really say's what happened to him. He was just... removed.

And it was a good twist. They should make a spoof of that bit: *he eats them, dramatic pause* "ooh blueberries yum"
