User Name:
Vargryph
Dragon's Full Name:
"My full name is Candra Illumina Speciosus, though I would certainly prefer you called me Candra. It's much more befitting, if I do say so myself."
Dragon's Species:
"Greater dragon, one of the most beautiful beasts to walk these realms, at least in my eye."
Dragon's Gender:
"Most males don't have a name such as Candra. I am feminine by birth."
Dragon's Age:
"I have walked these hills for just over four hundred years, now. My, how the time flies by..."
Dragon's Personality:
Candra, true to her kind, is not nearly as terrifying as her size suggests her to be. She sees her home in Camelot as a pearl of dwellings on Earth, yet she understands more than enough the risks of staying to enjoy its fruitful forests and emerald hills. She's very thoughtful, and while she seems to keep to herself, she gladly engages in conversation with those she deems wise or intelligent enough to do so. She has an odd hobby of collecting quartz stones, and has quite the impressive pile in her lair. She handles everything she touches with a surprisingly gentle paw, only softly caressing things more violent dragons would probably enjoy smashing. She thrives at night, when the humans have gone to sleep and she can bathe her pale hide in the light of the moon above.
Dragon's Talents:
Not only is Candra remarkably wise, she is equally clever. She fancies herself to be beautiful, and some humans who have surpassed their fears of dragons and had the chance to see her would say the same. Possibly her best talent is locating precious stones in grimy places and polishing even the most dull rocks into priceless gems.
Dragon's Strengths:
Candra's excellent at flying long distances at high speeds, and she's more than capable of maintaining land speeds as well. She's a fairly decent fighter, not incredible, but better than average. Her steadfast loyalty and trust makes her an invaluable ally and friend.
Dragon's Weaknesses:
Candra can be materialistic at times, and tends to overthink things and blow situations out of proportion. She also happens to be very black-and-white when it comes to various things such as eye color and plants: Either they're drop-dead gorgeous or they're hideous beyond belief.
Dragon's Eye Color:
Sadly, Candra doesn't like her eye color very much - Stormy gray, with very little color save for an explosion of blue around her pupil. Any human would call them breathtaking, but Candra wishes they were more colorful.
Dragon's Scale Color:
True to her name, Candra's scales shimmer in the likeness of moonstones. When light catches her hide at just the right angle, her body becomes a rainbow of iridescent white. It's truly a spectacular sight to behold for a human.
Dragon's Height, Weight and Length:
Weighing just over eleven tons, Candra isn't yet a big dragon, still physically young. From genly sloping snout to the small fan of frills at the tip of her whip-like tail, she's roughly two hundred feet in length, with a wingspan of about four hundred feet. She stands thirty feet at the shoulder, though her neck extends almost ten feet beyond.
Dragon's Full Description:
If there were a moon goddess in the shape of a dragon, Candra would be the perfect representation. On the outside, her 200-foot-long body is covered in smooth plated white scales that shimmer and shine in the light of the moon, reflecting rainbows. Her stormy eyes, with the ring of electric blue around her pupil, are clear windows to her kind heart. Her gentle touch is surprising, and while she's a wonderful friend for any creature, she tends to latch on to things a lot and overreact when it comes to imperfections. It isn't advisable to get on the bad side of this greater dragon - with a wit like hers, Candra could easily give a hero nightmares for the rest of his life.
Dragon's Crush:
"Other dragons? I have yet to meet any...But I hope I do! Certainly, certainly, I hope so."
Dragon's Mate:
"I haven't ever met another dragon, let alone fallen for one!"
Dragon's Hatchlings:
"My goodness, this is getting a little out of hand, wouldn't you agree? How many times must I say it?"
Dragon's Parents:
"My parents? I only vaguely remember them...My father, Punctus, was white-skinned, but not iridescent like me, and my mother, Hyacinta, was ebony. I've never really considered where they've gone..."
Dragon's Siblings:
"I was born alone. If I had any siblings, I am unaware of their existence."
Dragon's Extended Family:
"I'm sorry, I simply don't know. If I could find one of them, or someone else in my family, I would ask them."
Other/Dragon's History:
Candra's egg was laid 410 years ago, by the sea. When her parents, Punctus and Hyacinta, faced growing pressure from humans - pressure that killed one of Candra's would-be siblings, they took their remaining three eggs with them on their journey to escape. They finally settled outside of the reaches of Camelot, but as the kingdom grew, they discovered that they had trapped themselves between two human kingdoms. After five years of waiting and struggling to defend his precious offspring, Punctus was eventually left only with Candra's egg, his beloved having been slain, their other two eggs taken by calamity and hunters alike. Punctus, knowing his time was running out, stashed Candra's egg deep within a hidden cave and led the forces that were after him away from the sanctuary and sacrificed himself to end their search for the time being. Devin eventually recieved word of the rumor that a greater dragon's egg was still somewhere around Camelot, and he began to send some hunters to seek it out as well, though by that time Candra was one hundred years old and growing fast. Since then, the dragoness has been desperately fighting against them and trying to escape once and for all.
