Aden laughed at Layla. "Maybe I do." He waggled his eyebrows at her. Using one hand he shoved the floral patterned board over toward her. "Here, hop on there. I'll teach you how to surf."

Kali laughed and blew a kiss at him just for laughs, then dove back underwater.

Layla gave Kali a nervous smile and hopped on the surfboard. It teetered for a moment, but soon found it's balance. Layla was holding onto the board as if she was holding onto a cliff's edge.

I'll think about that one x3 )) Aden winked over to Kali, before watching Layla mount the surfboard. He bit into his lower lip, amusement lighting up his eyes. He was trying so hard not to laugh at the poor girl. "Would you kill me if I asked you to try standing now?" He was only half joking. She'd have to stand eventually.

"It depends if I fall or not." Layla said with an uneasy laugh.

He reached over and pulled her board closer to him. He held onto the back of it, giving her extra balance. "You can do it." He grinned.

Kali looked over and saw the surfboards. Her face lit up. She remembered the storage room and swam past them quickly, running across the beach and into the house to the room. She tracked muddy sand across the floors but she didn't care. She grabbed her favorite surfboard, white with a jagged-edged patch of neon yellow and green with black and white skulls. She ran out to the water and put it on the surface, dropping onto her stomach and paddling out a ways before standing.

Layla slowly got up on her feet and held out her arms to balance. Seconds later she fell into the water with a splash. Surfacing the ocean water she spit out salt water and laughed. "Back to square one."
