True. But they could've made her say, "Oh goodness! Peeta! They look like the dead tributes!" And then faint. It would have been a nice touch.
THRESH GOT KILLED BY THE MUTTS? WRONG! From the sound effects, i'm guessing that's what the did. With the barking and the screaming. Cato was meant to kill him! Grr!

Also I went to the mall tour in my area on March 8 (I think) and everyone was screaming OMG PEETA I LOVE YOUUUU! except me I was trying to listen to what they were actually saying. Luckily I was on my dad's shoulders so it was easier to see them and Josh actually waved at me :3. So anyways yeah everyone was pretty much crazy that day XD.

Some people I've talked to (who've read the books) thought that people who haven't read the books wouldn't understand that Katniss was pretending to love Peeta...but I think the movie did kinda explain that pretty well with Haymitch talking to Katniss after the Games. What do you guys think?

And about the muttation thing, the mutts resembling the dead tributes would have tipped it towards the R-rating scale, seeing that if you think about it, I'll be blunt here, dogs having the eyes of dead children is a bit too disturbing for a PG-13 movie. Be happy that they included them, don't be nit-picky and complain. At least they made a movie.

I read the books after I watched the movie, and while I was slightly confused, I was sleepy and sick when I saw the movie so that could explain it. My friend who read the books explained it to me, but I think if you payed attention and listened to what they said you could pick up on the fact Katniss didn't love Peeta, but would only really pick it up when Haymitch was talking to Katniss after.

They could just have the mutts with, for example, blonde hair and green eyes- not that bad. I don't mind they didn't do the mutts to look like the tributes though. I wish the death of Thresh was more accurate, though.
