Ingo blinked at her Captain's outrage, she tried not to protest, but it was when she launched on Gannet that she saw it. Why can't you just stay dead?! That's what Indigo had said, and that's when Ingo saw it. The uncanny resemblance that she'd noticed before. And here was Patric, who really should be dead right now. He was meant to be at the bottom of the ocean. He died. He died for Ella and he didn't remember it at all. Ingo found herself feeling uncontrollably sick, and as fast and discreetly as possible ran out of the house.
She came over all clammy. He was dead, he died for Ella and he had died from a bullet wound, straight to the chest. How was he still here? Was this all just some elaborate story, all of it? As Ingo tried to clear herself up, tried to calm her shivering hands, she couldn't believe what they'd done. She'd met his family. They'd promised his family that if anythign ever happened to him, they'd go back and tell him, yet they'd conveniently avoided that. Ingo was sick again, she couldn't help it. She now sat, shivering outside, not wanting to go back in and see him again. He could remember none of it at all! Why? Why was this all coming back now!

" Patric...?" That was Melody, sounding confused. "Captain, I'm mighty sorry, but I joined the crew after he... died. Or vanished, as it seems. Pray tell, who is this man?" Indigo turned slightly to look at the quartermaster, and huffed out a breath through her nose. What was she supposed to say? "He had your job, for one thing," the woman finally managed. "And yours too, Jack," she added, turning to the cook. "Melody, you were just luck, but I hired you," here she nodded at Jack, "To replace him." Propping her remaining hand on her hip, she glanced at all of the people in the room and, last of all, at Sonja. "We'll worry about the devil in the details later," she proclaimed. "Thedre's one among us whose death is cetprtainly real, and it will do nobody any good to postpone the burial."

Jack Wolfsbane
This man.... The one who had introduced himself as Gannet, was called Patrick? And he used to be cook? Damn. Jack thought. If he's rehired, then there is every chance I'll loose me job. That couldn't happen. Maybe he would be the new navigator?
He shook himself at Indigo's words. "Right you are, captain. You want to dress her, aye?" It would be improper for him to do it.

"Aye," replied the captain. "The rest of you, out." She nodded at the door, placing her hand on the table next to the stack of clothes Jack had brought. "Ingo, stay, if you please. Much as I hate to admit it, I will not be able to do this by myself." Turning away from her crew, Indigo forced herself to look at the body on the table. Sonja couldn't have been older than six and twenty, and look at her; dead as a dormouse with a slit across her throat. Who could have done this to her? And why?

Ryder, being terribly confused at what just happened before his very eyes- which was diffidently a first for him- immediately started walking out the door when the cap'n said. He walked around the house, staying close enough to see it, but far enough to be out of earshot. So... Gannet was Patrick, and Patrick used to be the cook and quartermaster for The Maiden. Well, 't's a good thing I'm not either of 'em. he thought, then started to ponder what would happen to Melody or Jack if Patrick was let back into the crew... Which brought him to the thought of those bullet wounds. It was true- no one could survive that- and by the tales he had heard, the crew had dropped him to the bottom of the ocean... so how did he get back here?
Status: Another five months... oops... Oh well, what's time, right? .-.

Ingo had rejoined her crew in the house but was looking considerably paler than before. When the thought of Sonja's dead body was brought back up to the forfront of her mind she turned white as sheet. It was another one of those days when she wondered why'd she'd been made first mate, she wasn't coping with any of this at all. Ingo walked calmly, or as calmly as she could, over to Indigo. Surprisingly, she found herself able to look at Sonja's face. She shivered a little, seeing the mark on her throat, she'd barely been alive long enough for it to scar.

[Alright. I'm glad you were able to roleplay with us, if only for a while. If there's a particular way you want your character to die, PM it to me so I can work it into the plot.]
[If it's alright with everyone, came we skip forwards an hour or two to the bit where we actually bury Sonja? There's nothing much to do here, as it is.]
