Lola sat in the passenger seat of Annie's car the whole drive,looking out the window at the passing scenery.Annie looked at her quickly and smiled.She patted her dogs head before turning into the driveway of Rosewood Stables.No noise was coming from the horse box.Crash was a very calm and easy traveler,which was a blessing when it came to loading and unloading on show days.Annie pulled up beside another car and horse box,pulled out the keys and jumped out,followed closely by Lola.Annie walked up to the two people already there,one who she knew was Jessica and another guy.Lola stayed close to Annie's legs as they walked up.

Ally woke up early enough that morning, already in one of the Cabins. She had been a member at Rosewood for the last year, having joined them when she first got her horse, Gemini, when she was sixteen years old. Gemini, as well as a place at Rosewood, was the perfect escape to get away from her normal family life. Her mornings on sunny days like this had become almost routine, having the opportunity to get up early, dress in her normal jodhpurs, muck boots and a hoody, and grab her old bridle and walk straight down to the field, and this morning that was what she did. She took the old, worn-out leather bridle and left the cabins, walking straight down to the mare and gelding paddocks, going to the one furthest away from the barn, where Gemini was grazing with two other horses, Ester and Axel.
Alfie took the walk with her, having jumped up onto the fencing when they reached it, and walked beside Ally the whole way down. When they finally reached the gate, Ally opened the gate, and walked in before calling Gemini, who obediently walked up to her, moving across the grass with a steady and sleepy step that would make her come across as such a mellow ride. She stood patiently, waiting like an old trail horse, as Ally put on her bridle. She then walked Gemini out of the field, and closed the gate as Ester and Axel began to move across the field. Ally used the gate to mount up onto Gemini, and began to ride her back up the lane bareback. The sun was still sort of low in the sky, and the air was crisp, but still warm. Alfie followed her to the barn.

Emily finnished grooming Rose and heard Ally comming up to lane with Gemini. She smiled and waved "Good morning!" she said cheerfully and contiued scooping out the feed for the resident goats. She smiled and walked out and dumped it into the feed trough in the goat pen and brushed off her hands and returned the bucket to the feed room. she saw Dixie's tennis ball and picked it up, whistling for Dixie, she tossed it out of the opposite door, out looking the goat pen. Dixie took off after the ball. Emily smiled and went to clean up some more.

Jessica smiled as another rider came up to the porch "Welcome. I'm Jessica." she said, extending her other hand, that was dog slobber free. She looked at them "How was both of your trips?" she asked, with a warm smile on her face.

Ally turned at the sound of a greeting, looking over to see Emily walking out of Rose's stable before beginning to make the goats feeding. She slipped down off Gemini's back, smiling back at Emily. "Morning Emily. Any new riders come yet?" she asked, not allowing the small talk to show her down from bringing Gemini to her stable. Ally was glad to see her stable had not been done by any of the other members of Rosewood, simply because she liked to carry her own wait, and do ever single job involved in the owning of a horse. But, Ally had mucked her stable out after Gemini had been turned out last night so she could give the extra hand in helping today, seeing as so many new riders were due to join the yard. Ally slipped the old leather bridle odd Gemini's head, and closed her into her stable, before walking into the tack room to grab her grooming brushes, her stable cooler and she put the bridle on a hook in her tack area. Back in the stable, she pulled the cooler off Gemini's black coloured back before folding it over the door, to put away until she would need it again going out tonight. Gemini was one of those horses who always managed to stay clean, even in a field with other horses, but Ally still groomed her each morning, taking away dust and any dirt that may be there. This kept Gemini looking like a show horse all the time, like most of the horses here. Once Gem was groomed, Ally put on the stable cooler, which was clean, even though it had been used.

Luke pushed his fingers through his hair before dropping to the floor to control his dog. " Hey, yeah, I'm Luke, Luke Blake. And I'm good, yeah good." He said as he pulled Balto back from jumping on Jessica again. "So is there any sign in, paperwork stuff or anything like that or can you just point me in the direction of the barn? Shadow, my horse, is getting a bit restless in the trailer." He said as he tried to hold Balto back and push his hair out of his eyes.

Emily looked back at Ally "None that I know of yet. but it should be getting close to that time." she said. she pushed the broom down the aisle of the barn, and listened to her friend as she worked.Emily didn't like to have very many people around, but she couldn't help it. She pushed her blonde hair into a bun and listened intetnly.

Jessica looked back at Luke "Nope." she said. She smiled "I can show you to the barn, if you'd like." she said. jessica looked around seeing if she had forgotten something "Oh, and the cabins are over there, you can choose which ever one suits you best. They are also pet friendly." she said with a smile, point to the cabins.

Dixie wandered around outside and snorted. The rottweiler looked up seeing new faces and dogs. She wagged her tail and began barking happily, but in a stern way... showing that she was the boss around here, dog wise that is. Jessica looked over "Dixie shush." she said sternly, and dixie obeyed after giving one more bark. She began walking to the cabins to go investigate.

Luke walked to his car to pull the keys from the truck. He could never be too sure on the kinds of people. Balto, being his wolf self, growled at Dixie then stopped when Luke joined them. Luke knew what he was doing but he knew Balto wouldn't harm anyone. He looked over to the cabins where Jess was pointing and nodded. They were nice looking. He followed her toward the barn with Balto trotting by his side.

Alexa can be described as cheery; she always tries to have a smile on her face. History:
Alexa has quite an isolated childhood. Her father worked long hours in the day and her mother was seldom seen, as her parents got divorced when she was young. Her father remarried when she was ten and she got along quite well with her stepmother, as she worked from home and had time to take Alexa to hobbies like riding and ballet. On her 12th birthday, her father told her that she was going to boarding school until she was sixteen; he wanted to start a new family with her stepmother. It wasn't a shock to her, as she always knew in her heart that something like this was going to happen. She had always liked horses, but her parents could never afford to keep one at the expensive full liveries around their small town. Alexa eventually moved in with her aunt Suzanne when she was 14, quitting her dull boarding school and getting her aunt to home-school her. There was a small yard nearby, advertising a beautiful gelding for a years part loan. Alexa immediately took the opportunity even though she knew she was going to eat the dust off the menage floor every day. The pony was a large bay called Frankie, old but very sharp as he was very sensitive in the mouth. He bucked her off daily until she earned his trust and friendship. Alexa is hoping to develop her riding skills further and compete in affiliated competitions at Rosewood Stables with Silver.

Silver can be temperamental at times, refusing even the simplest of jumps if she is in one of her moods. She is very sensitive in the mouth and can buck/rear/spin if mishandled by riders. Si is very much a one person horse and likes the no-pressure training approach from Alexa. She likes her food and often snorts and stomps around in her stable if she sees Alexa coming with a bucket of feed. No strong bits or extra equipment is needed on her, because when her saddle is on she knows her job. Sometimes, she will run around in the fields when people try to catch her, as she prefers to be out than in - even if its snowing and raining! She has powerful shoulders and hindquarters, making it difficult for her to collect her gaits. Although Si is still quite young, she is mature for her age and isn't spooky when on hacks or courses.
History:
Silver was bred by a professional yard for Eventing, but the yard went bust and all the youngsters had to be sold from the field. She was advertised as a well-handled, broken-in 5 year old for jumping and hunting. Alexa bought her after her part loan agreement had finished. Her father funded Silver's expenses and Alexa worked with her alongside a retired professional trainer at her yard. Si was exposed to the traditional and also natural horsemanship styles of training, which is why she isn't spooky now. The yard didn't have the best facilities, which meant hacking to the local woods to jump logs and ditches.

James has always been the seclusive one. He has some trust issues, which he developed after his parents painted lies over lies to keep a happy family façade for neighbours and friends. His father has always been a workaholic, working day and night; James rarely saw him, only the shadows underneath the office doors and in awkward dinner appointments. His mother had a mental breakdown and ran away into the sunny countryside of France to relax when James was barely 6 - she hasn't been seen since. He likes animals ever since his mother took him to the races, watching the magnificent Thoroughbreds run and the ground thundering with the pounding hooves of horses. He was enrolled into boarding school aged 12, where he met Alexa through the mutual interest of horses, but it was hard to make friends as he had been labelled 'the cast-off'. James prefers to stay away from people, though he is always in the shadow of his successful father according to snobby relatives. He doesn't say much and prefers reading a book rather than someone's expression. He enjoys playing the piano, riding and cricket; hobbies which his mother got in involved in.
History:
James had a difficult start in life, with a busy father and a stressed-out mother. He didn't understand the lies and deception, though his childhood innocence was tainted at a young age. It made him more hardened against the real world, where nothing in perfect. James' decided to take riding lessons in the school holidays at a stable nearby and his instructor said he showed promise. This fueled his eagerness to learn and he started competing the school horses at local shows, which made him interested in having a horse of his own. He proposed the idea to his father, which he accepted but only if he learnt to care for it himself. He got Bolt, a young broken to race Thoroughbred, when he was 13, getting advice and help from the other liveries at the yard until he was able to juggle school, homework and a horse all at the same time.
Strengths/weaknesses:
His strengths lie in being adept at knowing equine illnesses, learning from his old instructor when he had Bolt at his old yard. James is also very fearless when it comes to riding, he just mounts straight back on if the horse has chucked him off ad attempts it again. His weakness would be his competitive streak and his unwillingness to open up to new people.

Bolt lives up to his name because when he is excited he will bolt off with the rider. He is very flashy and likes strutting about in the menage and fields, though James normally keeps him in check. He cannot keep still and is always a bother to handle, nibbling at lead ropes and pawing the ground with impatience though he is never a danger to be around. Bolt knows his boundaries and has never struck out at any other horses or people. He doesn't spook easily, unless it is an umbrella, which he despises due to a past experience as a yearling. Bolt will hack out with others but prefers to be at the front to dictate the pace. Bolt also loves competing but is a sour loser.
History:
James bought Bolt when he was three and spent time handling him regularly, though Bolt had a cause of head shy. Though eventually, a year after training, he was able to be ridden. Bolt is a nuisance to bridle, but he is easy to catch as he expects a good exercise session and a tasty feed. When Bolt was about 2 and a half years old, one of his previous owners was desensitizing him to umbrellas but caught him on the legs with it in the stables.
