Whitelick watched Stormpaw go off, and her thought train started. Getting Herbs? Nice and unviolent she let out a soft sigh and her blue eyes rested on the apprentice, gathering her courage she ran after him, "D-Do you need any help?" she tried to yell as she ran.

Kelpsong smiled and thought. "Marigold would be good for battle wounds should we ever find a threat we had to deal with through fighting. I'm running low so we'll look for that first." She decided, setting off towards where she knew the Marigold should be in full bloom at this time. "And don't worry. It's a common mistake among cats to go for the Deathberries. They look delicious, but they're really deadly."

Glancing nervously at the berries, Frostpool nodded. "No, I'm sorry. You may have just saved my life." Edging away from the bush, she tried to change the subject. "Now, what were we looking for again?" The grey tabby she-cat trotted on, not sure where they were going.

Seeing the hurt in Pollygaze's expression, Mossfire refrained from asking what it was about and instead commented on her growling stomach. "Wanna get something to eat? Or if you haven't hunted yet, then you can come with me. I just went out, but I have enough energy to go again."

"I'm not hungry, thank you," Pollygaze said avoiding food at all costs. Her ribs were beginning to show, and as she sat for a few seconds, she wondered why she starved herself. There was so much food to eat, and yet she didn't eat. The regret and pain would eat at her, making her even more hungry than she was. She tried to lift a smile to the tom, but again failed. She couldn't get happiness out of her body. She felt as if something on the inside of her was munching at her, and that her stomach was just a bottomless pit. No use to feed what will only make her more hungry.

Stormpaw grunted as he found the plant. However, it wasn't in a place easy to access. A small cliff was before him. A normal warrior would have turned back, but Stormpaw was determened to get the herb. The tom looked around for something to climb down on. His gaze rested on a mossy, fallen tree. Without thinking, the apprentice leaped onto in, not even the least bit concerned that it was A moldy, ready-to-break, tree. He looked back as he slowly climbed down, a small crack to be heard. Realising what he was doing, Stormpaw steadied himself on the log, trying to keep it from breaking any further. "For StarCla-" He was cut off. Letting out a screech, the tom fell, landing on the hard, cold rocks below.

Whitelick continued to follow Stormpaw, her breathing became tough and heavy, she wasn't used to running. Sha caught the smell of herbs in her nose and hurried on, but her breathing stopped. Oh Stormpaw..! she said, her eyes wide with fear, she looked desperatley around, "H-HELP!" she shouted frantaclly.

Frostpool followed Kelpsong, still curious. "Aren't marigolds yellow flowers?" she asked. "Do we need the leaves or the roots? I saw Stormpaw making some into a poultice once, and he had thrown away the bud. When I asked him..." and her melodic voice went on and on, winding through the trees like a river as they walked. She dug her claws into the soft moss below her with pleasure.

Looking at Pollygaze's thin frame, Mossfire insisted. "I think you need something to eat. Here, lets go get a mouse or something." He led her towards the fresh-kill pile.

Pollygaze dropped her head. She knew she couldn't take the pain anymore, and she couldn't stop. She was going to be forced by Mossfire no matter what. She stood up and slowly followed him, her tail drooping. How could such a stupid cat like her ever be a leader? "Ok...." She said resentfully.

Grumbling quietly to herself, the she-cat got to her paws. Too many cats had gathered. She was bored and a tad bit irritated that her silence was interrupted. The best way to mend that problem? Leave camp. She shook her fur and started toward the camp exit and into the forest, purring as the clan cats' voices died down.

The tom lowered himself into a hunter's crouch. Ahead, he had spotted a nicely sized vole. Stalking toward it, his tail hovered just above the grass and leaves at his paws. He stepped carefully, so as not to crack any dried foliage. When he got as close as he figured he could get without startling the rodent, he lashed out with a paw, pinning it before delivering a killing bite to its neck.

Stormpaw felt dizzyness. He could hardly feel anything; only a slight burning somewhere.. somewhere were? He was so dizzy, the thoughts around him were basicly scattered. His brain just couldn't accept what was going on, nor could he. "How could I hav ben su dum?" The words were slurred, hardly understandable. But he wouldn't die, not yet. Something warm dripped down his skull. The tom gave way to darkness.

Whitelick started to tear up, and her claws dug into the ground, she sprang onto a rock, right by where Stormpaw fell. "Are y-you alright?" she sniffed, trying to comfort him, she walked towards him and looked at him in the eye. Poor tom... she thought sadly.
