I'm a lazy bum who doesn't have the energy to write a story for anything, but I thought these two looked nice together.

The following is an Easter letter I've written (in story form) to my best friend Quinn, who died on October 27, 2011.

Dear Quinn,

Happy Easter, baby! Today has brought so many memories to my mind...and so many tears to my eyes.

Do you remember in 8th grade, when we decided to spontaneously have our own Easter egg hunt in your backyard? We thought, "Why let the little kids have all the fun? We'll host the best Easter egg hunt this city's ever seen!" Just another one of your crazy ideas that I got dragged into.
We must have spent HOURS buying candy, plastic eggs, baskets, decorations, etc. Our moms were so mad when they found out how much money we had spent. But it was all worth it, wasn't it?

Then came the guest list. Should we invite my little sister and her friends? What about your older sister? No way would she want to go. What about the kids from school? Which ones would come and which ones were just laugh it off and tease us for being stupid.
In the end, we just decided to have everyone come! My sister brought three friends, we invited about 10 of our friends from school, and even your sister brought her boyfriend!
By that time, we had come to the conclusion that if we were going to have more than 10 people participate in the hunt, there was no way your tiny little backyard would be enough space? So my mom said, "Why not hold it in the park across the street from our house?"

It was decided. The next couple days were spent mapping and charting out where to hide each and every egg, how many eggs we would hide, how much candy to put in each egg, the time limits, the boundaries, what to put in the extra-large plastic bunny rabbit that would serve as the hidden jackpot...you slept over that night and we fell asleep at 3am. We could barely lift ourselves out of bed the next morning!

But eventually, we managed to pull each other out of the house. We each took a backpack with candy-filled eggs, maps and water bottles. It was Easter morning, around 8 o'clock and we set off towards the park to "hide the loot" as you called it.

By 10 o'clock, the eggs were hidden and my house was full of eager people. As it turned out, your sister's boyfriend had brought along his little brother, who had brought along two friends of his own. You and I looked at each other; it was a good thing we had decided at last minute to buy and hide extra eggs!

The hunt started at 11 o'clock. Immediately, alliances were formed and everyone made a mad dash to find their eggs. Screams of triumph could be heard throughout the entire neighborhood as eggs were discovered. We sat back in the grass, watching the chaos enfold, and grinned at each other. We had hidden the eggs in trees, bushes, gopher holes, buried them in the grass, stuck them behind rocks, in every little place imaginable.

The hunt ended after about an hour, and everyone returned to the starting point, sweaty, exhausted, faces streaked with dirt, but satisfied with their findings. Suddenly, one of my sister's friends shouted out, "Wait! What about the jackpot bunny? Did anyone find it?"

Confused glances were shared across the group; it seemed as though no one had been able to discover our hidden treat. You looked at me questioningly and I nodded. Ever so slowly, you pulled a giant, candy-filled rabbit out from behind the rock we had been leaning against.
"Oops. Looks like we forgot to hide it." you said, shrugging innocently.

Within seconds, people had opened their eggs and were pelting you and I with jelly beans. Everyone was laughing as we shrieked and ran back to the house for safety. Everyone gathered in my backyard for an Easter barbecue that our dads had set up and the rest of the day was filled with eating, laughing, and an endless supply of chocolate.

Anyways, I was just remembering that today. It's one of my favorite memories I have of us together.
I miss you so much, Quinners. I think about you every second of every day and hope that you're thinking of me, too.
Please continue to watch me from heaven, and smile down on me.

You meant more to me than you'll ever know, and I love you more than words can describe.

Love always, your best friend forever ♥

You know those stores were people do some good, or evil deeds and end up magically getting a baby? Like thumbalina or rapunzel.
I was one of those babys. Except my mother didn't want a baby. She wanted money, but not in the greedy way. the way that pays the bills and feeds the family. You see when she was born she was cursed with good luck. So she stumbled into a fairy and won a baby. This happened three times. She had three babys, my brother my sister and I. I was her eldest daughter, the first magic baby she was gifted. That's my name to, gift. My mom wasn't lucky with jobs and stuff though. So we all tried to help out as much as we could. But now we are just sad. Mother says we have to move because we can't afford the house. oh well. I just want her to be happy. that's why I am going to run away. I can earn tons of money to bring back to her, because I am heading to hollywood! I am going to leave a note on my pillow and everything! I will leave tonight.I hope I can make Mother happy.....

ImageWe have to move again. My poor kids, it must be so hard for them. I just hope there happy, because them being happy makes ME happy. I'm so proud of them all, especially gift, she really helps with the kids! Although she seems reserved and quiet now, I wonder if something is wrong? I will ask her tomorrow, I mean it is her birthday and she seems eager to go to bed right now.....

I held the flimsy paper in my hands.

"Dear Alex,

Im so sorry to say that she is no longer with us. She died this morning at approximately 3 am. Im sorry, Alex.
I know how much she meant to you. But really; is she really gone? No. I know she lives in your heart, she lives in mine too. She was a wonderful person, and probably still is.

Don't take it too harshly, though. She's, how cheesy- but true- it is, in a better place. Earth wasn't meant for her.

Sincerely,
Your friend, Dr. Coor."

I flipped it over and slammed it on the table. I ran my fingers through my hair as I couldn't help but let the tears stream from my face. Jamie was gone.

I knew I couldn't bring her back; nothing could. But I knew a way I could still be with her.

-removed-.

Marouk, a 23 year old girl from Alaska was found dead on friday the 8th of april. Her boyfriend, Fading Memory, a 24 year old also from Alaska, was found cradling a blood smeared hoodie. Authorities attempted to question him but it was fruitless, Fading Memory was in too much shock. The cause of death has yet to be determined, and Fading Memory has yet to speak. Authorities say that they hear him in his cell at night, howling a mourning cry. There is disbelief that he murdered Marouk, but the Authorities cannot, as of yet, rule it out.

I love this one, it was wonderfully written.

Exact opposites.
One gold; One silver.
There can only be one victor.

"Pffft. Challenge accepted. I eat your kind for breakfast," she scoffed.

He smirked with his shapely mouth as she cannoned a fiery barb of action.

Then it was she who smirked, for victory then seemed to already mock her exceptional opponent, seemingly hers already at the moment.

Her pride would not let the knowledge of existing as the best be her foe’s.

He quickly shot back a mediocre response and her eyes triumphantly flashed as it was nearly evident she had won, until hiis slender pianist’s scarred hand quickly, gracefully shot out again and left a blow upon her mighty forces which left her reeling even as she violently retaliated with a feeble response.

Each played upon the others weaknesses and their own strengths.

Each strained to attempt to prove their own superiority.

They went upon this battle of wits fiercely for a stretch of time, each nearly breaking from the tension of their own pride in their prodigous wit; each nearly losing and nearly winning multiple times.

The tension was nearly tangible in the air they both laborously breathed, single-mindedly, simultaneously pushing their own limits to win the game.

Sighing, he suddenly pulled her curvy body toward his own sinuous body and pressed his thin lips upon her full ones and murmured, “Let’s just admit we’re both geniuses, ‘kay?”

Grinning against his mouth, she murmured back in turn, “That must've been the most intense tic-tac-toe game I've ever been in my entire life.”

Lol, I don't know. I just wanted to practice writing for a bit xD Any critique extremely welcome to help me improve c:

A shiny thing and a Magpie
'You my purrrrecious' the magpie whispered as she pawed her sparkling new thing all over its reflective surface. It was so cool, slightly more towards cold, a little bit flaky to touch, but most important it was SHINY! The sun jumped around it with golden sparks like fireflies on a beautiful blossoming flower. Magpie's eyes were sparkling just as the said sun glimpses. Its not a secret to anyone, that magpies cant stand from stealing something shiny and sparkly.
'Let's see... Hmm...' she gently rolled the round thing around, trying to identify what exactly it is. Her treasures were strictly categorised into separate little piles. But she couldnt decide if its more of a Piece of Art or Exquisite Deco to fit in. She kept thinking untill the sun sat, and her eyes started to grow heavy. Yawning, she snuggled the huge shiny thing closer to herself and said quietly 'Ahh, Ill figure it out in the morning... but till then, Ill protect it here with me, in my nest'.
She fell asleep happy, hugging what felt like the greatest tresure she have ever had...
What she didnt know, was it wasnt an artifical item... it was....
It was...

That, we'll find out when the egg grows. Should I continue when it does? :)
