Nox smelled humans somewhere nearby...And he was pretty hungry... Those guys back then, didn't satisfy him... His mouth drooled as he stalked after the smell.

(Maybe he could die before the baby is born. And then Kit could start becoming sick out of grief causing her to die a few days after birth. Rex could die by...um...being captured by humans and killed?)

Kitayla giggled and reached down to kiss his head. Her stomach was not big enough to get in the way yet.

Nox grinned even more, his humanity sipping away by the minute.
