Bellatrix gave a small smile to Gezelle when she bounded over by her. "Hey." Her tail flicked happily. "Yeah, sure!" Her voice was cheerful, trying to ignore her sadness from before. She nodded and smiled, not overly enjoyed about having to see Aláckazar the same day as that fight, but she would just have to put that aside to see Gezelle happy.

The substance stang for a moment, and then the pain began to release its grip as Amoroso applied more to his neck. "Ahhh, that's better." he said and breathed a sigh. He smiled at her enthusiasm and energy. "Overall, it went well. We managed to get the Cavallino cats to retreat, but it did take a fight, as usual." he began, and then summaried all that had happened to the best of his ability, from stalking the cats in the trees to the final retreat. "They did manage to get me, but I also made sure to leave my mark." he said with a slight smirk.

Amoroso let out a gasp."Oh,you must be such a great fighter.I wish I could fight."She said,awe in her voice.She slumped down,now laying on grass."Not that I don't like what I do.I love it!Its so cool getting missions from the leader and all.I probably know more stuff about Cavallino than most cats,since I have sneak around them.Never got caught,never will!That's Amoroso style!"She said,getting louder at the end.Her ear flicked towards the left as she heard something,but she shrugged it off and turned her head to Mercaro."So,you're a scout?What do you guys do besides,"She stopped and giggled,"Scouting?"

Kavé nodded slowly, knowing he was lying. She flicked her eyes over the gash on his face, flicking her maimed ear almost involentairly as her own twin scars twinged in memory. His looked like they might scar too. But she said nothing, only looked around as cooly as she could. She was still suspicious of the woods. What if cats stil lurked there, unseen? This battle had left much undone, and her inner sense, the one that defined her as a tracker, was almost screaming at her that this battle was not the end. The Cavallino were almost certain to attack again, maybe not today, but sometime in the near future. Their leader was proud, and he would not take defeat so easily in his stride.

"How are yours?" She heard Baskin say, and she turned back towards him, feeling slightly guilty. "I escaped unscathed." She said, not bothering to mention she hadn't actually been attacked. It was probably obvious enough. "But perhaps we should head back now? I don't feel particulairly... at ease here right now." Kavé suggested, meeting his gaze. She wasn't afraid really, but something was telling her that it might be better to head back to the relative safety of the camp.

Mercaro smirked happily and listened to Amoroso as she replied, and then went on with her fast-paced tone. "You must be a really good spy if you've never been caught." he began with a smile, and then continued, "Well, we patrol the territory for any intruders, and do what we can to try and make sure that they don't have the chance, or will, to try and sneak into our territory again. We also protect the rest of the clan incase of an attack, and we guard the camp at night. We don't really leave the territory unless there is a planned attack, or if anyone needs our help when they go into enemy territory. So what all do you spies do?" he finished and then looked at her.

Amoroso listened the whole way through,not interrupting."Us,spies?Oh we just do super,super,super secret stuff!!Its top secret from the leader,If I told you what we did I would have to kill you."She looked at him,her eyes extremely serious.And then she giggled."Just kidding!But really,spies do have to talk to the leader quite often.The leader tells us what to do.And then we do it!Last time,I was sent to find out what future plans the Cavallino had.That's why were prepared foer that short battle just a week ago."She said,nodding to herself.She really,truly did love being a spy.

Calming down

"Of course," Baskin said getting up. He noticed that something was off, or unsettling Kavé's fur as they stayed here exposed. There was always the chance of more Cavallino clan warriors running around in their territory even if they didn't join into the battle. That'd be a good strategy, Baskin thought, having your clan mates distract the enemy so spies or seekers could get by. Baskin had sort of an oh duh moment and switched visions with his sight bird Aiyah, a falcon. "You said everything was clear right?" he spoke just before his sight was swapped.
Aiyah was soaring high over the forest above them, almost a little too high for Baskin to notice any movement on the ground below. He coaxed him to fly a little lower at an angle and fly a large circle. Nothing.
Retrieving back his own sight, Baskin shook his coat, imagining an annoyed Kavé near by him but didn't apologize for taking his time. Instead he took off into the forest in the direction of camp.

Mercaro listened intently when her voice took on a very uncharacteristic serious tone. He laughed and smiled as Amoroso continued saying that she was just kidding. " I thought you were actually serious for a moment there ", he began with a chuckle, "I would never be able to be a spy. Sneaking around and being quiet just isn't one of my talents. You spies really do have a risky and very important job. With sneaking around in enemy territory and all without getting caught. With us scouts, we just stay in he territory so we're never really in danger of capture."

Amoroso started laughing,"Oh,oh I would never!I've never,ever ever ever ever killed a cat.I don't think I will ever have to either."She said,smiling as always."But without scouts cats from the other clan could get into our territory.Or loners.They could ruin everything we work for,even find the stone and take it!If you think about it,we almost do the same job.We protect the clan.Your on the inside,and I'm on the outside.I'm the cool undercover cop one,"She said,laughing again.She rolled onto her stomach and laid like the for a while.

Cheering up

Gezelle trotted through the Cavallino camp entrance, Bellatrix padding close behind her, and spotted Aláckazar, her father, across the clearing standing over a deer carcass. Gesturing with her tail, she signaled for her friend to wait there while she went and talked to him. He was only soft on her and her mother, perhaps the only two cats who were very close to him in his life.
"Daddy," Gezelle spoke sweetly, approaching him, "If there are no more assignments today, Bellatrix and I are going to go sunning on the rocks on the mountain."
Aláckazar didn't say anything for a moment, but then looked up from his thoughts meeting his daughter's gaze.
"I'm organizing a raid."
Gezelle was speachless for a moment. What could he possibly be thinking?! "What are you talking about? I don't think that's necessary. You're just angry about today."
Aláckazar began to snarl as he spoke to his daughter, calmer than he would have to another clan member however, "Yes a raid! And it's completely necessary! We will shame those Velocians and show them that Cavallino Clan will not be messed with!" He was almost shouting now, Gezelle couldn't bare to look to see who might be staring. She paused for a moment, recollecting herself and began to use her soft sweet voice.
"Okay daddy. I understand," then licked his cheek, "Me and Bellatrix are going to go. You tell us about your plans tonight okay?"
"I'm sorry," he murmered, and pressed his nose to her forehead, then watched her walk away, joining Bellatrix at the camp entrance.
