(I'm sorry if I might sound rude, that isn't what I was intend to be)As far as the eye goes, I think this looks more like human eye than wolf's eye. In wolves you can only see a tiny bit of the white part of the eye, most of the thing you see is the iris(the colour part of the eye, the cornea is transparent). The eye colour on a real wolf are usually amber-brown, but on made up character it can be any colour that fits well with the body markings. The pupil is round and small, unlike felines. The overall shape of the eye also aren't as long as this. You might want to use some reference of wolf's eye until you're confident with the canine eye anatomy.
Before you shade, imagine that there's a light source somewhere in the picture. Lighten the place where the light hits the eye and darken the place where the shadow is. Then put a white dot on where the light hits the eye the most.
picture that I found that might be helpful:

Lastly, the fur. This is the part that is, excluding the anatomy, the most frustrating. There are many methods to do, but what I usually do is colour the base darker than the colour you intend the fur to be. Then use a medium size brush and paint the direction of the fur, the colour use is still darker than the fur colour, but lighter than the base. Then use a small hard brush to add details to the fur.
Hope this helps :3
