Song (The Easter Bunny)I had been picking flowers when I met her. Song, the Easter Bunny. Yes; the Easter Bunny.
---
(part two)The next day I was back at the spot I had met Song. For some reason I had been intrigued to come back, though my encounter with her yesterday had been a bit more than interesting. I still thought she was a crazed stalker but she was, in a way, someone you like being around. I mean, yes, she broke into people's houses but at least she didn't harm anyone in doing so... or at least I hoped.
So yeah, I was waiting for song at the hill were we had originally met. I was laying in the grass, and starting to doze off, when I heard some soft laughter and crunching of footsteps. I sat up quickly, not entirely sure of where I was for a moment. Then Song came into view, with the exact same appearance she had had yesterday. I frowned and raised one eyebrow. "Don't you ever do something different with your hair?" I asked.
song smiled and shook her head. "I like this look; I've been told it looks good on me." I nodded in agreement, but brought up my own point. "It does look good, but I bet I could make it look good another way." Standing up, I looked her in the eye. "Sometime you're coming over to my house so I can make you look prettier."
Song laughed and shrugged. "Maybe." Her lavender eyes sparkled in the sun. I couldn't help but smile with her.
"So.. uh... why exactly did you want to meet here today, anyway?" I asked.
"I was wondering if you'd want to help me get ready for Easter." She smiled.
I raised one eyebrow. "You mean, help you poison little kids?"
Song sighed and shook her head, groaning. "Not that again. Anyway, I'll let you come with me so you can see how it's done."
I chuckled. "And get caught by the police when you're breaking into people's houses? No thanks." I turned, hands in my pocket, and started down the hill.
Song muttered something under her breath and yelled, "Wait!" When I turned around to face her with what I assumed was a questioning look on my face, she pleaded almost frantically, "Please! All my life I've been trying to make friends and get them to believe me, but everyone thinks I'm just a liar or danger to society! Please just give me
one chance! That's all I'm asking for!
One chance!!!" I could see some tears slowly winding their way down her cheeks.
I bit my lip and sighed, and slowly trudged back up the hill. Seeing such a bubbly girl like Song cry just made you want to join in on the waterworks. Luckily I was strong and it didn't affect me as much as it might some people. I looked at Song for a long time and finally sighed, "Fine. But if we get caught..."
Song immediately hugged me. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She smiled through her tears. Suddenly I realized that I had never given her my name. "Song, I never told you my name." I smiled.
Song nodded. "I know." She shrugged. "Doesn't matter."
I shook my head. "It's Kailah." I told her, scratching my arm. Song repeated, "Kailah. That's nice." She smiled.
I bit my lip and nodded. "Thanks." I blushed, as I always do when I get complimented. Song grinned and said, "So what do you want to do?"
I shrugged. "I dunno. I think I might just go home." Song frowned. "Why?" She asked.
"This is kinda stressful for me, I just have to go home and think about this for a while." I sighed.
Song nodded once. "Oh..." She said. "Are you still going to go with me?" She asked, in almost a sad voice.
I sighed, "Yes." Song smiled and hugged me again. "Thank you." She gratefully said.
I nodded. "Whatever." I said in an almost sarcastic voice, though I was smiling. Then I turned and trudged back down the hill towards my house. Then I realized something else.
I was friends with the crazy girl.
